I haven't compared the 2 but thats pretty wild if its true.

It almost seems like I can push the plugin load on paralells / PC ableton over Mac Ableton. Could be a placebo effect though.

    @Olymoon
    Wiki:
Apple shortened the name to "OS X" in 2012 and then changed it to "macOS" in 2016, adopting the nomenclature that they were using for their other operating systems, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

So from 10.12 Sierra it's actually macOS.
When you talk of OSX, you refer to pre-Sierra.
To help explain this better to you, when talking of present day Windows one would not refer to it as XP, because it would be wrong to do so and misleading for people.

Likewise, the product is now called Logic Pro.

As are all my old Apple hardware. Each is still a perfect working daw.

So there is no "contrast", imo.

    This true.

Also true is R2R info's saying they so amazing when they kill ilok tuff protection and they can do anything. So to me it seems R2R is week and cant do the real challenge of mac. They just give up.
r2r also say in info that they do crack beacuz they don't like companys making shit nasty protections. (who worse for this than Apple?)
So why not destroy apple also and really make point? Makes me think they act best but really are birds that cant do the hard one.

seems true also strange and maybe horrible users at AZ that dont likes mac.
so many mac cracker upload themselvs and go on AZ, not like r2r or VR who never see comment or dum PM request.
mac cracker should not go on AZ directly for so much drama and nasty.

@Bermuda Triangle I haven't often seen eye to eye with you yet, but what you've just written holds some very good points.
And as it's not just the members who I receive insults from, I may very well go back to doing any future exclusive sharez on AN or somewhere else first now. It's a shame.

Mac user for a decade here and had a ton of cracked stuff initially. Then actually started releasing tracks commercially and now I'm fully legit on plugins - which took the same decade buying stuff I really want (mostly there's a few I bought whilst pissed which I maybe shouldn't but thats another story).

Not everyone can afford to do that but also not everyone needs 400 reverbs they don't fuckin use either just purely to hoard software, which in itself can easily become like an addition for many when using cracked software (I used to do the same) in a constant download/hoard manner. You can make a great track with purely stock plugins on man DAWs (specifically Logic X and Ableton for sure since I've used both extensively) there are very few 3rd party plugins which are an absolutely essential purchase.

I personally hate the Windows experience - even though I have to use it constantly all day at work I don't want it for my production machines. So like many others regardless of if there are zero cracks on Mac I'll continue to use it because for me personally its by far the better option.

Many game audio guys are using windows only including my self making enough money to support thier families for many years.
Those noobs(according to you) are a lot more professional than crappy mac punks who complains about wares all the time.

If you really read my comment, you'll see that I used the word "Mac OSX" quoting op. It's not my word...
You are fast on giving lessons my friend.

    And I'm correct, my friend.
And I really did read your comment. <sigh>
You are fast to judge negatively.
It's my language and I understand it perfectly.

If you expect me to message 5 people over their unjustifiable negs which you will turn a blind eye to as is becoming standard between you and I, I think it is ridiculous and I won't do it.
Especially considering the rules say that we can request the explanation.
IT DOES NOT SAY TO DO IT VIA PM, PROBABLY BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE SHUT THEIR INBOX DOWN TO OTHERS, SO IT IS POINTLESS.
Would you like me to post links to numerous other posts where members OTHER THAN ME request the same explanation from others, and where you haven't bashed on THEM (only me) or deleted their post as you have just done to me? Because there are very many Oly.

Please ammend the rules asap instead of always bashing on me over this, otherwise I will continue just the same because I am not breaking the rules.

As I said in the comment that was deleted just now, aside from the irrelevant info in the op, the op is just yet another veiled mac/win cherry-bomb, or at least will only ever gather hypothetical answers to a future that none of us can possibly know.

I've used Windows for a long time and passed to Mac, macOS is really good. It's always ready to go for any work. No broken updates, no blue screens, no windows telemetry etc. And I can use Logic :D I'm not in to "Mac plugins not cracked" thing, cause we can do with stock ones what we want (except good synths).

And CODESHiNE released Roland cloud for Mac days ago.

while it is true that there are certain problems coming along the line of apple ARM hardware in the future, this basically means absolutely nothing for most of us, no matter if you buy your software (mac always was the bigger market with more sales) or not, at least within the next 5 years.

because even if you are an industry pro, you can use your mac pro 2020 with intel chips for the next 5 years and there is no reason to be afraid of a minor technical change in 2027, when you planned to buy your new computer system.

you might be dead in 5 years, you might be divorced, jobless, your contry might be run by idiots, your car might be stolen or your cat starts to piss on the parquet - and most people should really have something better to do than worrying about future computer hardware.

    last but not least:

music guy in 1997: "windows? what´s that?"

@ohhayir Sounds like you really still need to check out the stock Logic synths, especially ES2! It's fat!

It's common sens and respect to OP, not to do this in the thread to avoid off topic / personal useless discussions.
Again, if you want to discuss moderation, please send me a PM, stop writing off topic comments.

I can't believe we're still at these boring arguments.
When kids make hits on FL studio Win, people who listen don't give a damn what software it was produced, mixed, mastered on. They don't care. They dance.
Only the final result counts, the rest is bullshit.
I've worked on OSX, WIN, Linux and every platform can help produce music. The important thing is to say to yourself "I have to work every day to learn and not come and bore people with personal shitty little miseries".
    Work and make us listen.
Sorry, I'm tired of the loneliness due to the covid. No bar or restaurant to have fun with friends. (You see, I'm complaining too:guru:)
