Good point. I hadn't considered that timeline but makes sense.
I don't remember if I mentioned them before but STL ampsims sound really good to me too. I tried STL Howard Benson and Putney and was impressed. I had the same problem than with Mercuriall, my CPU was ancient. Haven't tried the "hub" line.
In fact since I got my new CPU quite recently I re-downloaded Mercuriall and STL Ampsims. Along with the new NeuralDSP ones and a few more modest I'm having a blast .

i agree man, nolly and rabea are both awesome at what they do.

sadly, there are no k'd neural dsp plugs yet (win or mac). whatever they use to license must be pretty difficult to crack bc i know ppl have been requesting k'd versions of the neural stuff for awhile on the sister.

and the nolly suite has definitely already become a staple for heavy stuff. i hear it all the time on newer metal/prog releases

I'm very impressed with Parallax. I'm happy with Darkglass as well but not nearly as much as I am with Parallax. Finally a bass amp sim that sounds amazing on bass. Most plugins I've tried for bass don't sound all that great. I was jamming with those for 3 hours last night, as well as the Audio Assault - Duality Bass Studio.

You don't get nearly as much with Duality Bass as with Parallax but I was still blown away but how much grease I had on the low end & how much grit I got on top of it. Was so much fun to actually get good tones right out the box while still in the box that I didn't want to stop jamming even though I've been running my fingers into the ground lately.

I'm about to rinse & repeat last night actually.

Being a Neural fanboy for more than a year, I'm absolutely blissed to see the k'd releases by R2R, because it finally gives me access to all of Neural's magic. I already had Plini and Omega for several months, and I bought 3 new plugins on Black Friday, so I'm happy having support a great company doing good work too. Interested to see how the quad cortex turns out and will probably get it. As others have stated, the feel and dynamics of their plugins are simply amazing, and I think we're all lucky to be able to use this technology :)

Guys, I geuss there's an issue with Cory Wong plugin and BL Cakewalk v26.11.0.099, running on Win7:

Seems like Cakewalk does not recall changes made by user - it loads default plugin settings instead when opening a cwp project. In order to preserve current plugin state you'll need to save it as a user preset in the plugin itself, and once the cwp project opens just load it from within Cory Wong (surprisingly, automation works OK).

I know CWBL does not support Win7 anymore, however I'm curious if Cory Wong works properly on BL Cakewalk and Win10 (and/or other
    systems).

    PS.
In Cantabile and Sequoia everything works fine.

I'm actually probably not even going to bother buying the other bass guitar plugs that I was going to buy before finding out about Neural DSP. They are that good. I'm not a fanboy of anything except good products.

I can't wait to sink myself into their other plugins tonight & see if my buying priority list changes like I expect it to after last night.

I actually own quite a few of NDSP's catalog and I can say that Mammoth from Aurora DSP is worth owning as well. Nembrini is also releasing their Alpha Omega plugin next week as well at their generous intro price. That is also worth getting.

Oh! I just had this vid come up in my youtube feed earlier this week from Specter Sound Studios

which caught my attention but I forgot about it until you mentioned it. I'm gonna buy that too, thanks! Found so much great stuff from the last dump that I will be buying. Only finding more useful plugs as I jam along.

Edit: Gonna keep out on the lookout for that new Alpha Omega plug too. Nembrini Audio has caught my attention in the last 6 months also.

@SEnki I just saw that it needs an iLok on the website but doesn't need the dongle. Does that mean that software has to run alongside the plugin while I'm using it or do I just need to authorize it once? Because I'm not really a fan of running multiple programs in the background slowing down my pc.

You authorize by dongle, machine or cloud activations. You authorize it once from the ilok manager and that's it. No extra stuff need to be run when using it. You can use it on up to 3 machines at any time.

Dude where have you been?

R2R k'd the whole Neural DSP plugin catalogue for Windows, and it was released on the sister site on 1st of January itself. If you still haven't tried them, do it!

    .

I'm excited for the Quad Cortex as well! The only thing that worries me are its footswitch-cum-rotary knob thingies. I imagine it'd be somewhat difficult to get a replacement for these.

how does a band use it ? are they sharing (which is kinda weird and.. why?) one unit, or just using it as a they would a normal fx pedal. It was advertised that way, the processing power can handle the whole band (or I got it wrong ? lol ) anyhow it is interesting to see how anyone (or any band) would even try that idea. Being a guitar player, NO F WAY I want to share fx processor with my bass player (or another guitar player) even when im only using 1% the processing power. It is just weird.

It's definitely possible to run two guitars or a guitar and a bass in parallel on the Quad Cortex, but you can do that on the Helix Floor/Rack/LT and the the Axe FX as well. But it makes patch changes very complicated.
