Keep in mind that when you quote a warez link you're doubling the work for the moderator. Not a criticism, I absentmindedly did it myself recently. Just letting you know that a better way to handle it is either to report the comment or alert the person that posted the comment using @+their user name or send them a private message letting them know.
That's so funny, I caught that at the same time and was just going to mention it. Did you report it or are you just notifying him so as not to bother Oly?

Maby you where connected to web while using products that in most cases also connect to web silently in the background while the daw is running, detect if they are legit and then break themselves?

He just doesn't need to quote the whole post but mark the non-link part of it and 'Reply'.

This ^ - for now. :winker:

I've installed 98% of the them (except SONiVOX). For something I've already have, I'll clean every of them completely by uninstalling and then google "how to completely uninstall *** from Win" and search for manufacturer name in the folder option somemore. Ive cleared all the user setting files, presets in the Documents, some leftover trash in the Program Data, User App Roaming/Locals everything and even delete empty folders. I also checked "Program Files, Program Filesx86 & Program Data" for the company's name if there's anything left.

Then I install the new release to a new folder in the VST Folder (I use the Program Files/Steinberg/VST because Live love that). I put them all together and name it "The Wave". Had few troubles installing some (wrong locations etc, that R2R already fixed) but ALL of them works fine in Reaper, Live, and Acustica Mixcraft. Not a single crash. I have a habit to load the plugin (install then load in each DAW, then close em, install another) after install, so I can assure you everything works fine for me. but not my body, I haven't had enough sleep since.

ah can't say anything about the AAX though

Wow, what an effort. As long as it isn't explicitly mentioned, I simply install updates over the old versions. Works in a lot of cases. If I run into trouble, I uninstall it thoroughly and reinstall the new version.

I don't know if I should start another thread as my problem is different, but the latest release of Kush UBK-1 by R2R is way more CPU intensive than the previous version I had.

Three instances in Bitwig makes the audio engine jitter. With the previous version I could easily have more than 10 instances without any problem.
I think I'll downgrade as I love UBK-1 and use it quite regularly, but I wonder if anyone else noticed similar problems.

I had to do it because I want to have them in a custom folder, easier to access and look what's new and test em in Ableton Live, especially. It is going to be one long year to learn all them new stuff, might as well keep it organized.

now that you mentioned it, I just run a quick test, UBK-1 uses more CPU than usual, it is sitting at 2.69%! higher than the Weiss EQ-1 (0.27%), TG Mastering (0.13%). - REAPER 48k, 128 samples.

The reason could be this '1.5.3 Oct 14, 2020 - Rebuilt the DSP from the ground up...' (from their homepage).

I thought something along those lines might be the culprit, thanks for pointing out.

Time to do some A/B to see if the new version really makes that much of a difference :D

They made it because of some Mac compatibility probs, not sound.

You're welcome. It's not a problem at all mate, I was just letting you know so you would keep it in mind. Like I said, I did it myself the other day in an attempt to be helpful. It's appreciated that you were trying to assist, that's cool of you. :mates:

Put both instances on a drum loop, dialed the same settings as best as I could, flipped the phase. Result : almost completely cancels out, except for veeeery faint transients. I think I can get them to completely cancel out with a bit of tweaking, the new version changed some units from decimals to decibels so dialing the exact same settings is tricky.

But someone else said the DSP was rewritten for Mac compatibility issues, not sound issues, and it seems to be the case indeed.
