So far, the only important news is Oeksound plugins.
I have spent two hours testing Soothe and Spiff. I did not find anything more in Soothe than just another quality EQ, though perfect on all measurement tests.
Seems to me Spiff is a better product (at the first glance) and better sounding (less colorizing the sound than Soothe) and quite straightforward with lots of controls.

[Addition] Now there appeared Zynaptiq plugins. Maybe more important than Oeksound.

Bruh part of the magic is using the plug in Delta mode as an effect.... Try it on a drum loop.

 

I picked a bad time to move over to Mac, I think I’m going to be holding onto my windows machine for a little longer yet!

Soothe (finally!), Neural DSP, Eventide, Nembrini, SSL, and so much more.... (would love to see the Submission Audio Flatline, too). What an incredible day for Windows users. It's sad that they abandoned Mac users. Maybe another team will get permission to collab on Mac releases.

I think the wave has not ended yet and I do think (although all we've got so far was way way more than enough and more VSTs don't make us better producer or engineer) that there will be a second or 3rd wave, given the reputation of R2R.

99%of the people who download warez were never going to buy any of these things anyway. and not just because they can't afford them. they're not serious about music and it's just a hobby - if even that. i'd be willing to bet that over half of the files downloaded will never even get extracted.

 

they abandoned mac because the bullshit security apple keeps adding. people dont seem to understand it is more tied closely to the OS and now with teh M1 chip and new security cheap, cracking these are going to get even more difficult on the mac side. Tough shit.

I was fucken surprised by the neuraldsp shit btw, cool stuff and surprising. Dont care about reason or cubase or protools since i actually own those, the ndsp shit is GOOD stuff!
