So I'm hitting reload, as I have been for the last week or so, grumbling about when the big wave will come, when all of a sudden, a shedload of goodies from R2R appear.

Before I can grab any though, they're superceded by another shed load of shitty sample packs. Then the site disappears for a moment -- I get that gateway message -- then all the R2R goodies disappear and access is really hard -- presumably because every other bastard is hitting refresh as well.

Whoa, the goodies are back. Download time!

 

Either that or Steven Slate is hosting a New Years Eve DDOS attack party

* Fusion + iLok - Not only the basic license check, Oeksound uses crypto
function of PACE Fusion SDK. Cracker has to decrypt the content embedded
to the DLL. Otherwise DSP processing goes wrong.
* MetaFortress - Hardest part for crackers.

You are better to stop using that crypto. If cracker have enough skill to
do the strongest part of commercial protections, all other part are nothing.
It didn't even take 30 minutes for us to break your extra cryptographic
protection. It shuould be difficult for most crackers but those level of
crackers cannot even solve PACE wrapper protection in fact. Don't waste your
time!

with big sur and later will be even harder to crack software (at least for audio), because the system connects to a server to check the program that you want to run, if it's legit or not

 

you can disable that easily, but it won't matter if there is no new stuff anyway.

I was a great proponent of Apple back in the day, and when they took the failed NeXTStep OS and made it mainstream it looked like they'd gotten everything right. And then Jobs passed away. They have no idea what harm they have caused real professionals who invested in the platform. The crap they release every year now is an insult to the people who produce ,media and software on the platform. The 'm' series processors are a nice step for them but nothing else will change in how Apple pushes it forward.

 

agree, to many os updates screw people up, im guessing some plugin creators will get fed up

 

not impressed with big waves... no plugins for mac ures from R2R. No Nexus, Slate Digital, Plugin alliance, Uad, and many other useable and important plugins. any way happy new year 2021

Best option for Mac users is to have external SSD with Windows (win-to-usb install) and completely lock internet option out of that fresh sys.
