you raise a great point, it's about emotions and what that release stands for.
I can also remember some other times when emotions ran high, like e.g. when that Mac cracker had this drama surrounding her and she got banned, damn, people lost their temper really quickly.
Actually fascinating how these acts stir up emotions like that. You really nailed it, reading that nfo was exhilarating!

 

What I care about is the fact that the protection got cracked, it's significant, it means more software will be available now, at the crackers discretion

 

Agreed. it's this line in the R2R .nfo that everyone likes...

Even though we've all got too much stuff already, it's hard not to be interested in whatever R2R means by 'Main Wave'
If R2R are giving themselves a drum roll before their main gig starts then good for them;
it will be drowned out by the well earned applause.

Was curious to hear what had changed since version 1.51 (Audiotopia). Started with just the Brit N EQ (Neve) & compared to DDMF 6144
along with the Lindell 80 Channel. Fell short of the 6144 and, well short of the 80 channel. Also compared to ReaEQ and got very close to 6144 by adjusting bandwidth (Q). All comparisons were done on recorded instruments & vocals.

For a similar combo-strip I personally prefer the PSPAudioware Infinistrip.

Why are we interested in who wins a Nobel Prize? Why do we watch the Oscars? Why do we enjoy watching sports? At it's heart, human beings love to watch someone push against their limitations, take on a challenge and overcome it. It's built into our DNA and we're naturally attuned to displays of competence. We look up to those at the top of this hierarchy, and even more generally those above us, and there is an inner yearning that if we focus and work hard, we too can be competent. It is the admiration and respect for the actualization of human potential. Above that is the fact that we like to show respect for those that work for our benefit and above even that, we love having access to tools that many of us would not be able to afford. Those that can afford them like being able to test them first and rightly so. Even for those that might already legitimately own certain plug-ins, It is liberating watching a ton of CPU wasting code be stripped, as well as the removal of the need for iLok keys, programs and other imposed limitations that dictate the conditions of ownership, thus giving control back to the consumer and those that produce the music that moves the world.

R2R is also the fastest support I've ever seen... even without support contact !

R2R hasn't had a public release in over a month.

Slate Digital hasn't had any cracked versions of their main plugins released since 2015.

While people argue over how "good" the plugins are or whether or not they're the "best", Slate is one of the bigger names and it's well known that the reason they haven't had any of their stuff cracked since 2015 is due to increased protections.

So, R2R is back, and they cracked all 30 Slate plugins. Whooooooo!

 

You will see what hysery will be after Falcon crack, even it will be bulked on hard drives without usage.

 

So, “it’s not criticism”, yet you criticize. How does that work?

People are genuinely happy because R2R managed to crack an “uncrackable” plug-in, even doing a better job than the developer supporting it, and that’s just the beginning of their upcoming releases.

Even though I am not using Windows as much for my audio needs these days, I can appreciate the goodwill towards R2R. It’s called empathy. You should try it sometime, but hey, you do you. If trolling gets you through the day, troll away. We see you.

I am ready to see what the rest of the R2R wave looks like. Surf’s up, ladies, gents and non-binaries! Let’s see what comes next!

posts like this are always its not about the plugins its about the amount of hard work that R2R crack FOR FREE, they make no money from doing it and posts like this only have a negative impact on the scene, oh and btw no one force you to download it.

Exactly same amount of genuine happiness (and gratitude) would be shown, if R2R (or any, these days rare, supplier of free stuff) managed to crack an “uncrackable” plug-in, released the info about crack status, and kept cracked plugin internal, right?

 

well this reminds me when I ting protools 12 and other utopia audio products ... the euphoria was great.. that is why we are grateful and confident as this work and time dedicated by these hermenos ... are not in vain ... We value it a lot.. R2R Thank you

 

That's their prerogative and you're barking at the wrong tree. Whatever issue you have with a particular group, take it to them. See if they care. I'm grateful for whatever they share with the community.

If you're so concerned about that, how about you take a shot at it nd show us your skillset and share it with everyone? That will show them, right?

Yes people get crazy about R2R release more than the plugin itself, I can say the community is very grateful,some people are ungrateful, but is it an minority. R2R are legend, so no matter what they release to public, it's always explosive if I can speak like this, especially when it comes to cracked ilok stuff

 

I agree...is not about fancy trancy plugins, is about R2R krk-in "achievement".
