Guys, I get that you're trying to help people but warez requests are expressly forbidden here and whether links are PMed or not is irrelevant because the initial requests shouldn't be happening in the first place. This is just encouraging more people to break the rules and we know that's true because we're up to page 5 now. I even noticed requests creeping up into the chat system lately. It's really getting out of control. Plus do we really want to lower the bar of entry even further. It's good that people have to at least have the knowledge to find the sister site, otherwise what value are they really bringing to the forums. It ends up that we're just bringing in people that need to be babied.

 

1. link to main page of any site is not a link for warez. and request for main page of any site is not a request for warez. it's not a crime.
2. PM - private messages. link to main page of any site is not a crime.

for your peace of mind:
it's possible to create a search query for google and first link in results will always be to sister site.

something like this:
https://www.google.com/search?&q=search+request

link to google search is not a crime 100% =)))

 

I don't know, I leave this up to Olymoon and SAiNT to decide but I'm against it. The reason they started PMing members was because they were looking for a cracked version of Kontakt. I look at it like this: when the request for a site is being made to gain access to warez and/or the site being requested is a warez site, it's a request for warez. There's no other reason to go to AudioZ except for that purpose. We don't allow linking to the main page of AudioZ here, anytime someone does Olymoon removes the link because the rules state that it's not allowed. It's not like they're asking for the main page of Gearslutz or Rekkerd. Personally, I think it just encourages people to break the rules. If they want to do this then they should remove the rule that warez linking is not allowed. Otherwise, It causes confusion for members because they don't understand if it's okay or not. That's my opinion though, people can feel free to disagree. Cool idea for the search results though and maybe they can decide to use that.
