Tenet is a good film but it is my least favorite movie by Nolan. I did not like the score in Tenet, Venom and Black Panther (Don't hate me please).
I enjoyed the score of interstellar, stranger things, blade runner 2049, Tron Legacy, Annihilation, Arrival etc.

His best work is his "Mandalorian" score. If you don't have Disney+, I suggest at least tracking down the score and giving it a listen.

Has Hollywood been anything more than mediocre since 2010 and more so in the last two-three years?

I agree with Pontius. Id been waiting for this film the whole year, but was left disappointed, it was so dull I didn't even finish watching it. Thought the score was pretty average so I must be stupid too.

I agree with the majority in this thread, this Score is mediocre at best - especially in context of the film; you're trying to hear the convoluted dialogue over the same blearing 8th note arp we've heard a million times the past decade.

A movie like this certainly works with an intense frenetic score, however a bit more imagination wouldn't hurt. The reverses are nice albeit a very obvious sound design choice.

The Mandalorian soundtrack, on the other hand, was very enjoyable & memorable. A rarity these days.

Search for the soundtracks of Cristóbal Tapia de Veer, here is one
Tenet is an absolute consumerism rubbish, soundtrack included.

And at the beginning scenes they used the same music from Fortnite's Steamy Stacks location there's a part in the game where exactly the same music playing like in Tenet around minute 2 minute 5 when I heard it I was like woooow.

What!!?? When the scene goes backward he uses reverse music...wow, amazing...he is a genius...C’Mon! That’s the first thing a beginner music student would do to look smart in front of the class mates...When I saw the movie and listened to those reverse FX’s I felt embarrassing...so bad...Btw, movie is a pretty well produced piece of shit. You can dress a turd with beautiful roses but it’ll still smell shit.

Do I need to remember everything in the star wars universe to watch this tv series? I do not have good film/tv memory. Heard good reviews about it.

The best movie of the year by a huge margin. And the score is great and bold

When I listened to the score on it's own at first, I did not like it at all. Basically unlistenable noise. However, hearing it inside the film it worked very well.

OST looked good but couldn't quite enjoy it. I was too busy trying to understand a shit about the plot and dialogues slaughtered by it.
I stick with what I said: the mixer is bad lot sadist

I was confused by the plot, needed to keep turning up the volume to understand the dialogue but then turning it back down during the bang bang parts and nearly fell asleep by the end of the film (and it was just 2:30 in the afternoon). It felt to be a waste of my time.

That detuning is luscious. Is that FM or RingMod I hear in there? Maybe a wavefold?
