    Hi all
    a good friend of mine is a really good Guitarplayer.
    He plays in a Band .....but this Band doesnt exist anymore....
    and he want to buildt a small Homestudio
    Please give some Software recommendations for him...

    S Gear, Archetype Nolly or Plini, but i guess it depends on his style of playing .. S Gear is for all around style

    Tonelib GFX and Jam are handy tools for any guitarist or bassist.

    Jam is a tab viewer or editor w/ backing tracks and FX for either practicing or just coming up with new ideas (and notating them) and GFX is a surprisingly good modelling gear for amps, cabs and effects.

    Both are free.

    The Jam Origin MIDI guitar is *amazing*. Gets you 99% of the way there without having to get a MIDI pickup and a synth.
