What is the best Juno emulation among those in your opinion? Arturia Jun-6V vs Cherry Audio DCO-106 vs Tal U-No LX?

I prefer TAL U-no LX personally, now, I had a 106 for years and the greatest thing about the Juno is that it's immediate, really simple to dial in the sound that you want.

To me that trumps the actual sound of the thing, which is, well, Juno.

So TAL does the same thing, really fast to program with minimal modernizations and it sounds close enough for my ears. They got the chorus circuit down pat. No fuss, no muss, just pure simple synth action. Oh, and it can mimic one of the oscillators being slightly flat, like the real ones.

Thanks. I actually gave it a shot with Cherry Audio DCO-106 and it's damn good as well, instant immediate and very good sound actually. Perhaps too digital vs. the original Juno in your ears (I couldn't tell since I don't have analog) but it sits very well in any mix, very impressive stuff.

I need to spend some time with DCO-106 obviously, but it's a famous trait of the analog Junos that they're really comfortable fitting to a mix. Kinda like a 101 (well, they're close relatives after all). To me the insta-tweakability contributes to this quite a lot.

Great thanks. Speaking of the 101 the best emulations are, beside the Lush?

Lush is a fantastic synth, but it's not the best 101 IMO. It adds a shitload of features that distract from the sheer immediacy of the original.

It sounds like I'm shilling but the TAL emulation (Bassline) is pretty spot on, and if you want hardware the Behringer clone is there.

Cherry Audio came up with yet another "emulation". Polymode, inspired by the Moog Polymoog.
Not necessarily a 1:1 emulation, because they added quite some features from the digital/software world.

QUOTE: "Cherry Audio's new Polymode Synthesizer simplifies the user interface while greatly expanding on the strengths of the original instrument, and modern computer technology completely eliminates the original instrument’s notorious maintenance issues."

Are you sure the free download is not just a demo with intermittent blasts? The sight has this for sale.

No need to apologize, it's all good :mates:

I'm a bit dazed and confused myself these days, so I know how it is.
And: you got two "Agrees" on the post, proves that we're not the only dazed and confused ones here... :)

I suggest emphasizing 32bit exclusive plugins. Too many very old plugins, not supported in some mainstream daws.

I am not sure what you mean.
Emphasizing 32bit exclusive plugins sound like you suggest those be promoted more than 64bit.
Do you instead mean that if they are exclusively 32bit, that fact should be emphasized?
