Loving it so far. Sounds clean in an analog way if that makes sense

Just have to get used to the "Don't touch the DAW fader" thing, which is not a big deal since i mainly work with plugins nowadays.

I really like his plugs! Stoked to try this out. I wish he had better demo songs tho. The music is so confusing that its hard to hear what the plugins are doing.

 

He has quality plugins indeed.
The problem for me is he has too many plugins and I always forget what plugin does what.

 

The Airwindows facebook group made a cheatsheet recently with all the plugins and what they do. It gets updated every time there's a new plugin and you can search the plugins.

Agreed I love AW and this new Console sounds incredibly good.

 

@5:22, if you listen he says the effect of moving the faders with this version: it's a part of the sound!

Push the fader and it moves forward the track, diminish to pull it back in the mix.

 

Honest.. I love that he offers his hard work up to the audio community to pay what they want for his labor... But most of his stuff is in the realm of gnat farts when it comes to making a difference in a mix. Yes you can tweak a good portion of his plugs to mangle/distort audio. But the summing stuff & other subtle fx carry a huge placebo pill with them. I would love to see a true ABX test performed on his stuff on Gearslutz.

Hey, this is funny: do you know how many times I must have downloaded and installed plugindoctor, and each time left the manual on the desktop to remind me, until I realised it wasn't a plugin!?
I kept looking in my plugins folder like "huh. That's weird. Better download it."

 

Perhaps No Avenger will take up the reigns and put this to the test. He's all ears and spears.

No placebo effect here, everything done by Chris has huge impact, indispensable tools. The summing tools when pushed all have incredible mojo, usually have to dial things down. And it can be subtle if you wish, which is more than most tools in the area can claim, tendency to overdo things...

 

and the no gui's is helping that

I have the same problem. He has sooo much stuff out there that I have no clue where to begin.
I'd be curious what plugins the members here who know his stuff better would think can actually compete with the best high-priced plugins from other developers.
