My vocals are "too detailed"

    Works like a charm, I'm so used to it that I put a dummy pass-trough on VST on every track named "send this crap to Noa to fix it" :wink:

    In my opinion, the best thing is to apply a processor like the Neutron Exciter to saturate (not in tube mode which would still raise the detail) the medium-high range. For hip hop voices I can't do without.

    Thanks! Sounds similar to some of things I see Luca Pretolesi do.
    He sometimes does it with Fabfilter Pro-C and uses the sidechain input to go for the mid range. I'm not sure on this but he takes it off sides using the wet pan and dry pan? Takes compression out from the sides and brings the dry into the side for the m/s so it's just affecting the mids.
