I just find this video and I did everything
Now my Windows 10 (1809) really works much better Fortnite gaming/audio production.

    Download the pack: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1csdZP0122SxC9g94ARAXoBza6PKN8Gze

If you just installed a fresh WIndows 10 (from 1709 to 20H2)
I highly recommend watching this video download the pack and do every instruction it really works.
When everything is done on top all of these use the hosts file trick from this page:
    https://someonewhocares.org/hosts/

And you'll never have problems with your Windows 10 (lagging or high DPC latency)

Looks like a lot of work with the risk of potentially rendering your system unstable to achieve exactly WHAT? I would like to see some before/after benchmarks in real world applications.

If you have a look at the highest values at the beginning of the vid, this is what I find way more interesting than the reduction of the average values.

I've seen the numbers, but on their own they don't mean a lot to me. I wanna know if and how these tweaks actually affect real world applications in a perceivable way and by how much.

You can find many Latency monitor tests when using DAWs and games so it's not hard to give you an idea.
Of course it depends on your PC and settings.
Time to do a system backup and toy :phunk:

Success: Windows booted after blindingly applying all the tweaks
Can't tell yet how much has improved. Doesn't help my RAM/CPU/memory are almost new.

There's interesting shit in those tweaks.

I've not watched the video of the tweaks yet, but the Host file component is of interest to me.
For some time now I've been thinking about creating a thread on the forum to ask if there is somewhere a definitive list of sites to add to the host file... Or with a view to just kick off such a thread to become a place where others could add those that hey have added over time.
There are heaps of audioz appz such as those from Sonic Charge which will time-bomb without adding addy to host.
Anyway, i didn't intend to hijack the thread for this purpose!
Perhaps this is enough to G me up and get my shiz together to do this, i've intended to do so for way over a year two lol....
(I know i could have done it in the time it took me to write this).

I have not yet upgraded my S1v4 license to V5 due to Win10 requirement.
This is party because i can't face installing everything again, but mainly the effort it can take to get ones DAW well and truly stable.

Thanks for posting, I shall review :)

For those who are skeptical try this (without applying the stuff in the video):

Backup your hosts file it's here:
    c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

and close everything you are using right now chrome/firefox/total commander/everything and remember how they "run" how they feel.

Now completely replace everything in your hosts file with the someonewhocares website and save.
Now open your chrome or any browser you use you have to notice how freakin faster it is.
For me it's about when I click on my chrome icon it takes like 60 millisec to open chrome up & running and with the stock hosts which windows sets up for you it's about 1.5 seconds it's a massive difference and when you are loading pages for example youtube for me all the videos appear instantly at the same time in less than a second when I click on a bookmark it just snaps loaded with every content and I have a shitty 12 MB/sec download and 1MB/sec upload connection.
Only facebook is "the same as before" but I think with the new facebook style they did something which slows down the UI

    Hello Guys.
I look't in to the various Reg-files, and can say that those Reg-Tweaks are not bad and actually do something.
The issue is that those tweaks are globally applied, and will have an effect on every app+every processes on your system, that also means that your overall system power consumption will be much higher, especially in idle!
I pay 34 cent per kWh in the region I live, so being thoughtful about stuff like that is vital...!

I like that there is a Reg-File called "Windows Priority Optimization" which will optimize your Multimedia-Class-Manager processes Profiles in a meaningful way...!

But if you want much finer control over your apps and processes, then use something like Process-Lasso in combination with Park-Control from a company called Bitsum*!
I use those apps for about 15 years, and they have solved a lot of performance issues that I had like, apps that are not optimized for multi-core systems, apps that have issues with hyper-threading, apps that are poorly written(So That You Have To Set Something Like CPU-Affinity, Priority-Class,I/O Boosting Or Taming etc.).
They use their own CPU-Scheduler, which on his own, without tweaking, do wonders...!
AMD Treadripper with his NUMA-Nodes is also supported.
In fact, there are so many tweaks and use cases, that I can't name everything in a little forum post, but their documentation and Web-Site is a good place to learn something other than just about their apps...!

If you want to test those apps, then, just download and install them, most of the functionality is free.
And if you want those extra functionality(Like Tweaking The Multimedia-Class-Manager Processes Profiles And Automation Options etc.), then look out for the Life-Time License!

    Process-Lasso:

If you guys have any questions about those apps, then just pm me!

    I fully agree with @albert001 . Some things I didn't know.
It's been a while since I last used Process Lasso and I don't really remember why. Time to revisit it.

I use process lasso with ableton and I think it has helped.
If I had the money I-d buy it.

    Cool thanks Albert
I don't care about electricity my room in London costs 720 GBP/month everything included unlimited water/gas/electricity/internet

There you go that's mine running as good and clean as possible
I have a medium range gaming laptop

Actually LatencyMon helped me figure out a small issue which was the "Dell Data Vault" thing
I had no issues everything runs snappy and very good
LatencyMon just pointed out that this driver support interrupts my system so I removed it everything's still nice and snappy/smooth.

I ran just "Windows Priority Optimization" and got a latency improvement of ~5%.
But the sound now is convincingly cleaner and more precise.
I already use Fidelizer 8.6 and Minority clean Rev27 x64 to improve my sound, and this tweak goes very well along with them.

This is what I got running 1809 LTSC with most Microsoft crap removed. Guess I don't need to optimize my system then.

:crazy:I used latency mon and it told me i had problems with wdf01000.sys and classpnp.sys.
It also told me that process lasso wasn't helping (or least what I was doing with it didn't work)
wdf0100.sys is a driver that controls some things about usb like keyboard and mouse.:suicide:
