Have you joined the Discord yet? All bugs/queries/performance issues are currently being reported on the '#community support' channel there: https://discord.com/invite/dpZxr98

The developer is also regularly fixing and posting new build updates under the '#new builds' channel there. The most recent update is Vital v.1.0.1 which was posted this morning.

I'd suggest updating to the latest version of Vital (if you're not already using it), just download it from the Vital account page: https://account.vital.audio/

^ [EDIT: You may need to click on the 'All Downloads' link to see the updated build]

If your issue still persists in the latest build, let them know and report the issue in the 'community support' of their Discord.

no idea what DAW you're using but if it's FL studio changing the buffer to fixed buffer in the plugin setting window tab might help

I'm not a synth guy and I've never used Serum so legitimate question. Seems like there are many wavetable synths out there I'm wondering what makes this one special or must have? I already bought it based on the hype so as I said its a legit novice question :).

Well alot of this is a matter of opinion on what "you" as an individual seems will fit in your production. For me and some of the folks here feel that this synth will bring value to our production/sound design capabilities. I'm not going to say that this is the best wavetable synth because that also is a matter of opinion. What I see is that this synth can do things that serum can't do and vise versa. That being said, having both is a win win at least for me. Added bonus is, the developer seems to be a good guy and offering a full functional free version so no need to pirate I suppose. The only thing you pay for is unlimited text to wavetable and additional presets/wavetables. If those aren't that important, the free version will do everything a paid version will do in terms of modulation.

PS: did I mention there's a free full functional version? "Cough"

Yeah, I believe the developer, Matt Tytel, is based in California. He joked on the Discord yesterday that the Vital should go live once he's had his coffee on the 24th. So that probably means anything from early morning to mid-day (Pacific Standard Time).

I imagine he'd want to be awake for when it goes live, in case of any teething issues with the site, which hopefully won't crash, lol.

So check back on the site around those hours (PST). Currently, I imagine he's fast asleep in bed .

    Description

Vital is a spectral warping wavetable synthesizer.

Discover how warping the harmonic makeup of a wavetable can completely create a new set of sounds. Stretch, shift, smear and skew harmonics up, down and around the spectrum to explore new timbres and create sounds you didn't think possible with wavetables.

See how everything works while you play in this visual synth. Vital has animated graphical displays when you need them. Everything moves in real-time so you can see what’s going on behind the scenes.

Quickly design sounds with an optimized drag-and-drop modulation workflow. The modulation preview gives you an idea of what things will sound like before you drop the connection. With this, you can try modulating different destinations by dragging around the screen.

Discover new design techniques using Vital’s unique features like stereo-modulation. Stereo split an LFO to have the left channel’s modulation delayed from the right or give slight stereo time differences to an envelope to create wider stereo effects.

    Feature List
    • High quality wavetable oscillators with frequency warping and wave warping
    • Efficient unison
    • Two routable voice filters with several analog and digital models, each with multiple continuous blending modes
    • Audio-rate modulation so you can create clean drum transients and frequency modulate filter cutoff
    • Stereo-splitable LFOs with custom and editable shapes
    • Keytracked LFO settings
    • Modulatable envelopes with custom curves
    • Modulation remapping so you can customize the shape of every modulation
    • Custom sample source
    • Random modulation sources like Perlin, Lorenz Attractor, S&H and Sine Interplation, each with stereo options
    • Eight routable effects including a multiband compressor, multi-mode phaser and 16 voice chorus
    • MPE support
    • Microtonal file support
    • Oscilloscope and spectrum viewer
    • Preset browser with sort, search, tag and folder organization
