Although this update seems to be minor for existing users who think this is their best DAW of choice, this update is major in multiple ways (me talking as a FL and Logic guy who need to use both to produce and record vocals)
It's gonna open up a whole new group of musicians to come use Ableton as their main DAW.
    - singer/songwriter vocalists with the audio comping
    - the crazy creative designers with MPE
    - MIDI comping is a very innovative feature that's gonna make a lot of people switch too.
    - Tempo follow - This is veryyyy functional and practical. That's gonna bring the band folks on Ableton.

The Germans have done it once again. I understand some of your frustrations on the upgrade price, but it's at least there and you can pay for what you want. It used to be non existent and that's worse. I would pay FL studio about 100$ more if they come up with proper vocal comping like Logic.(even tho FL is lifetime free upgrades) In my opinion, Logic Pro and Ableton have covered up the areas that they were lacking, or at least trying to, while my FL peeps in Belgium making another Nexus clone sampler and working on warping :3

What innovative? Those who needed this "innovative" comping feature switched to S1, which has it for ages(as well as midi comping).
MPE supported by most of major DAWs, and those additional MPE features are supported by ROLI software(at first glance at least).

:) I'm stuck between those two DAWs atm and can't decide which to use because both have at least one major problem rendering them completely useless for me (no latency compensation with automations in Logic and the prehistoric pianoroll in Ableton where they've added new features instead of improving the basics to be up to par with all other DAWs :deep_facepalm:)

FWIW Win 10 was never meant to be finished, it will be in a constant loop of developing/overhauling unless Microsoft will turn 180 on it's current strategy which realistically not gonna happen any time soon.

I've found the answer to my own LPX vs Live Suite question: Both!
Ableton for jamming, loop recording and arranging,
Logic for more in-depth MIDI editing, linear audio and MIDI tracks and final mixdown.

my guess is their PDC is still crap.

I'm not sure if it is worth upgrading at this point. they obviously do not care about fixing their crappy PDC

    Hahahaa:rofl:oh man.

We're always like this about Ableton updates, its fun though that somehow it always feels shocking
Studio One has come so far, so fast,
Same with Bitwig, Reaper, maybe Reason?

I stopped upgrading at 9 with the push 2 controller. Everything after that I've just grabbed the r2r version. Using Bitwig more these days anyhow.

Anyone know something about a bug with the Delay. That did not happen in ableton 9, but in ableton 10 if it has that error, if someone knows about that error they could give me a little more details and if ableton 11 will no longer have it!

Now I anti-regret (if a word like that exists ), that I switched to Studio one.
Many features of this live 11 is there for ages in other DAWs.
Innovation for Ableton stopped a while ago.
They don't listen to Feature requests (I am talking about the official feature requests at ableton centrecode). Atleast, Presonus, listens to their customers.

Especially when you lose core devs who decide you're going the wrong direction and they start another company...

I went from LTSC to IoT Enterprise. It's basically the same but updated to the most recent versions.
But since I customize my installation images, it doesn't even matter because by doing it right,
even the Pro can be modified to work like the LTSC, but with a normal Pro license.

Btw. you also can convert your LTSC to a Pro using an activator and selecting the wrong edition, did that by accident.
It removes the LTSC license, installs a Pro license & activates it and after a restart you have Win 10 Pro.
But didn't update after that so I don't know if it really works to upgrade the build number.

    Hope dies last.

Indeed, they do. While there are certain problems with their feature request section(there is a big chanse for your request to be lost in a million of other requests), in general it works just fine - almost all major requests have been implemented so far.
I hope they won't stop doing this, decpite the fact that they implement certain features that aren't that useful(like this Chord Track).
