Eucon Protocol works quite well (or sometimes? or most of the time?)
Having an issue with n10 and 2 S1 right now, they say it's gonna be fixed in N11.

Usually avid fucks something up to make things worse for non pro tools users, so I can't even blame steinberg.
I also use some of those cheap icon platform thingies, they use the mci protocol though,
but I must say it works, so...

But when I look at the full blown nuage I'm not sure if I'm too keen on a steinberg controller.
The thing is huge takes a lot of space and has 2 (two!) rotaries per channel.
I mean are they out of their minds? Having 8 rotaries would be cool, 4 for frequency, 4 for gain and if i push them lets say q factor or something.
Four rotaries would be the absolute minimum, then frequency by push und q per toggle button..
but TWO?
Do they think whoever buys that uses it for showoff and mixes with his mouse?
(and yes I am aware of the fact that selecting a channel, then hitting eq button brings up eq in horizontal position of that one fader over all rotaries).
So they're not able to make something useable in the many thousands bucks erea... good luck with an eight or sixteen track faderport from steinberg/yamaha.

 

I have Cubase 10.5 and I´ve had so many issues with it and my RME BabyfacePro I desided to go StudioOne5..... Might be a problem on my side but StudioOne works perfect with Babyface in all aspects.
So I dont think I really need Cubase11 atm

This, is of course, highly subjective.

 

Anyone got any idea how much the upgrade is? It's usually worth waiting until the .5 upgrade. The .0 ones are just a (more than usual) Steinbugfest. I also just got an uber laptop and I'm soooo broke =( but also can run sooo many instances of every plugin evah =)

I found 10.5 to be the most stable for a while ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But, oh man, when I was just looking for a new audio interface etcs I totally forgot about Steinbug being absolute garbage about everything, appreciate the heads-up!

 

When it comes to reliability it is just technical. Or graphic performance.

me too I was just making musc abou 30 Minutes , then boom frozen no error no nothing just froozen .
This 5.1 update suxx, new features but old bugs are back.

 

I've had issues with usb hardware since i switched over to amd, but there were never audio interfaces involved and even icon managed to fix this by a firmware update. that's really odd.
I would totally suggest to contact rme. They're not like other companies, they're interested in "why does it not work" and are happy to fix it for other users as well, who might have the same configuration.
But Steinberg fucked up it's own asio implementation earlier. As I remember it was N6.5 or something.
Found out by contacting rme and they were like "yeah... we know... it's not us, steinbergs gonna fix it in n7".
But thinking how many people use babyface and C10.5 makes me really wonder what's wrong there.

 

I had zero problems with cubase 10.5 on a macbook pro.. Maybe different configurations cause different hick ups..
I wanna try the new way to draw pitch automation.. about time with that.. and the new analyzer looks cool..
But overall i don`t know if i`m upgrading.. i have to wait and see if all the new shinny toys do really worth it.. and still no next/previous sample loading in sampler track.. i have to drag the new samples all time.. that sucks..

Done the 10.5 update, will get the Grace Period and then wait until the number of bugs get reduced before installing. Do think the .5 malarkey is bloody stupid, but on the whole I do think that when main and .5 updates happen, they are good changes, always solid improvements.

 

I have Cubase 10 Pro from a previous sale (still not activated), is there any way to get the upgrade from the grace period? Or will I need to use 10.5 to do that?

 

Does anyone know the typical upgrade pricing history for owners of full pro versions? I bought 10.5 pro earlier this year around May.

 

Careful with. the x-touch, they are very picky about USB power. when i upgraded my system the X-touch stopped working in the end i had to get a USB card with molex power connector to get it to work . dosent play nice with buss powered usb. lot pf people on the forum have had this issue... just a heads up. to do it again. i prolly would go with a presonus faderport 2 mater of fact i still may

 

major version updates by steiny ( yes 10,5 to 11 is major in their eyes normally) normally go for 100 bucks for the upgrade and then at some point they have a sale and you can get it for round 60

Till here i watched i can say that the "Scale Assistant" is designed for noobs while we are talking about Cubase 11 pro!
Personally this feature is completely useless to me
