This year.. Jesus! ;____; it's just horsemen of the apocalypse interspersed with isolated tragedies that make you cry and then repeat. It can't be much more? We're up to about ninety eight of these horsey bastards now, and there was only supposed to be four!

    Sean Connery quote:
"Love may not make the world go round, but I must admit that it makes the ride worthwhile"
He might have meant sex, and I would have admired him just as much.

When I was a kid I saw Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. A few years later my first Bond movie (From Russia With Love), at which point I frantically started scanning the TV magazine for other Bond broadcasts. And about that same time: The Hunt for Red October. As a teenager I went to the theater for The Rock, and eventually Entrapment. And then I forgot to mention: The Untouchables, First Knight, Dragonheart (the voice of the dragon, perfect cast!), Rising Sun... I mean, wow, I could keep going on! :)

Long story short: Connery has a special place in my teenage heart.

People have hands, and people like to discuss and provoke each other. 1+1=SLAP! It happens everywhere to everyone sometime, whatever of the 5 [I'm sorry if I missed some] sexes you are. I've been slapped, and I slapped, too. Mail and female. I can bet he got slapped, too. That's life. Who hasn't been slapped at least once in a lifetime? Strange how a stupid, and not so painful at all, slap can hurt our feelings and effectively stop the argument. It is meant to do exactly that, not to hurt physically, but mentally. I still remember being slapped once [5th grade] by a [male] teacher, and being molested [ears drawn really painfully so I had wounded ears afterwards :(] by a female teacher in the 1st grade in primary school. For pretty stupid things...

Anyway, personally I'm against any violence and think every discussion can be settled in a wise and peaceful manner, but both, or more, people involved in a discussion have to be able to do that [be at the same level of intelligence?]. Violence of any kind happens usually when you lose an argument, and you are being too stubborn, proud, or stupid to admit it, so there's nothing else left to do, and women more often just keep nagging and have to have the last word, instead of resorting to slapping. But oh they know how to slap hard, too, trust me. I've been through about a dozen of affairs, and it happened in some of those, to both of us. Now I'm happily married for 6 years and looks like this is the right one, finally, and there was no violence between us, even though we like to discuss about a lot of things, you'd be surprised what things... well, generally philosophical, societal, astrophysical matters, life and death, religion etc.

So in general, I think only stupid people resort to violence, because they cannot admit they are wrong about something. I don't think he was stupid, and he was married for 45 years, obviously with someone whom he loved greatly, and he was being loved back. and they understood each other, so to speak.

Having said that, the world has lost a really great actor that entertained us for a very long time. I loved every film he was in. Not really the Bond ones, though... R.I.P. Sean Connery.
