There is a covolution impulse (in wav format) from a different kontakt library that I'd like to use in a Kontakt instrument I am making.

With the "donor" library open > Buss 1 InsertFx if I hover the mouse over the IR: file name it shows the following path: D:\Kontakt Librarys\The Library\<<<the_library.nkr>>>\Resources\ir_samples\Library A.wav

*I have replaced the name of the library in the path above with "The Library"

I have tried the obvious of typing this path in windows file explorer (just in case it worked) but I am guessing the .nkr is referencing the Library A.wav from either within its self or a location I am unable to access.

I have also seached the whole of my C: for Library A.wav with no luck. It is also not in the user presets folder.

If I open the .nkr in Notepad++ and search for the wav file I find the following entry:
!wx3nn[32] := "Library A.wav" so the file must exist somewhere.

Is it possible to access this wav file?

    Yes total commander
    https://www.ghisler.com/index.htm

can do it you have to get the add on for it though its called innkx
    https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm

    InNkx
    https://mega.nz/file/ih9QRa4R

Total Commander go to : option → configuration → plugin, press the configure button near .WCX , write the type file you want to extract in « All file with extension » nkc, nkx, nicnt

Once both are installed you can open kontakt files ive grabbed tons of impulses some libraries work some ive had trouble with but still a very valuable tool. What library are you trying to extract ir files from?Alot of the libraries use kontakts built in ir's ive got all of them in there specific folders if you want them.

Have you just tried saving the instrument that uses it in WAV format? Maybe it also extracts IRs, I can't remember, but it might be possible.
