this is beating me up.....so I had downloaded this and here's my thing

-on Mac catalina

I don't have anything installed...completely clean of Omnisphere.

-start the steps and all is going good till it says to look for the VST or Component. they aren't in the folder.
-so I figured that maybe its because I don't have a previous version , so I installed a previous version that works. (2.3.2) then
I proceeded but where I'm stopped is that the AU and VST inside the plugin folders and they patch failed. I put it in a folder with full read/write access....and nothing. I even manually did them entering them (package contents) and nothing. that's where I'm at if anyone can help

-I used crossover....didnt work....I used parallels and no dice

 

I'm a noob. I've been going through hell trying to install/authorize omnisphere 2.0 (mac) from the tpb torrent site. the instructions sucked. i want to just completely delete it and get the version 2.6 torrent from someone. where can i find it? can someone PM me?

 

had the exact same problems. and which torrent did you use? i got mine from tpb. it's the 2.0 version. also used crossover to open the keygen. wasn't able to authorize the plugin with the response code that was generated. also had the exact same problem with omnispere missing from the component and vst folders. i just wanna start from scratch with a different torrent but wondering if you used the same torrent as me

 

How to run the patcher/ keygen in Catalina when it won't allow any 32 bit applications full stop? Wine or Keka won't open the file.

I had this working on my old Mac with Mojave, and the same keygen works on my PC. Damn Catalina

I've been spending the last few days reading through every thread regarding Omnispehere and Keyscape. Tried every solution, multiple times, but still can not get it to work properly. Please, please, please provide some guidance.

I am on Mac OS High Sierra. The Keyscape plugin (and standalone) does open but I keep getting prompts about STEAM folder not being writable. I'm desperate

 

Is there any difference between the cracked and the genuine license?

i am running cracked omnisphere on latest catalina but my presets sometimes don’t save.

any suggestions on what to do to optimize my performance? Or is the cracked version a little buggy?

I have moved it to my external hard drive and deleted it from my application support folder, but when I try to point omnisphere to the new STEAM folder location, it says 'error sorry link creation failed omnisphere' Along with other error messages. Can anyone advise? Thanks

i have successfully installed on catalina but i get the classic issue of omnisphere cannot load sound source. i understand that the next step is to update. however how do i update? i tried updating directly thru spectrasonics and i registered but they are requiring a serial to download the updates. any advice would greatly be appreciated. thanks again.

I'm also facing this issue. Step 7 and Step 8 are giving me the "failed to open output file".

Step 9 worked fine tho :p

I'm on catalinaOS and I'm not sure what I did to cause this.

 

Thx for your efforts Pirate, and all those who are/have been nice enough to help. I have a bit of a vendetta w/ this one. Gave up on it like a year ago!! Have had success w/ other downloads here in the past, that contain multiple folders and files. But not this, and the irony is that I bought Omni 1 at launch!

I cannot recall what I did in the past, in terms of these types that require you to unzip a bunch of files from a bunch of folders and then combine them. So I think I require to have the mechanics of the workflow spelled out a bit, just to have it become some executable file. Though I do still have the tools.

I'm on Mac and have the 17 folders put into a folder I've named "Omnisphere 2.6":

And I have this "Omnisphere 2.6" folder saved on another volume, to preserve it.

Here are the contents of the first of the 15 folder set. Keka gave errors, but after running UnRarX, it created this folder:


And here are the contents of that newly-created folder:


Is this coming along as it should? I don't know if I should be unzipping this or that one file at at a time, one folder at a time (by dragging onto an app), one folder at a time by selecting all items in a folder and choosing "open with," if I should only be opening the first in a series (and if so which the first is) and so on. Can someone tell me a few steps concerning how to make this collection of folders become an executable file?

Okay, point taken. However, I'd been relentlessly slaving away at it for hours, in an attempt to somehow recall how these multi-folder/file affairs are dealt with, and read this thread in chunks. Not to mention that I perhaps didn't finish reading your post (nothing personal, ofc). Because you can tell early on in a post if it addresses the topic, which anecdotally was what I was looking for. Which is more or less "Have we successfully executed the process or have we not, and if so let's do it," basically.

And I respectfully fail to see the logic concerning the assertion that I wouldn't be posting here. As the primary objective wasn't to give props/shoutouts. It was to roll the dice and see if someone might set me in the right direction. In other words, to be more efficient, especially since there's no guarantee I'll figure it out on my own. As I said, Omnisphere in particular has been the one that's troubled me.

It simply seems that people just don't know how to deal with .rar and .7z
