I work at a small recording studio and I still use Pro Tools 10 due to the plugins I already have and use constantly(RTAS) and the old sessions I have to keep for the clients. I have always delayed changing to a new version because I would have to change all my plugins to AAX. I was thinking about installing both and start using 12 while still keeping the old one for the old sessions and plugins. Did anyone managed to do that? I'm using Windows 7 and the last RTAS version of Pro Tools (HD 10.3). The Pro Tools 12 installation won't let me install it and the portable version doesn't accept external aax plugins. I've read that Pro Tools accepts coinstallation but only from AAX versions (Pro Tools 10.3.9 or higher, 11, and 12 on the same system). I'm trying to install it without having to make dual boot on the system (If nothing works I might try that or give up updating Pro Tools for another couple of years lol). Any help would be appreciated!

Just try to install both Pro Tools 10 and 12 on one system. Aren't they working together?
