Waves 12 hmm i saw it and thought it was a joke as 11 update just got released so now that they fixed 11 we can use a broken 12
i should check if 11 update is resizable and did they do a complete rewrite for 12 so that it is resizable
or is it just 11 resizable with new presets or are theere new presets and can they work in 11 so I dont have to upgrade

Yawn. Resizable GUI and preset search is it? My v11 plugs are still working even in the latest beta of Big Sur so Waves can go get fucked if they think Im paying $240 just for a resizable GUI. None of these plugins have had any major updates for years now, and when they do its something stupid like the 'resizable GUI'. Plugin Alliance's stuff has entirely replaced my Waves SSL plugs, the CLAs aren't anything special now that everyone and their mother has an 1176 and LA2A plugin out, the rest of what I own I never use anyways. The Abbey Road reverbs were nice but take too much CPU, and Ive got plenty of hardware to use instead. The only thing Ill miss when it breaks are the API EQs and comp but Plugin Alliance is working on something API anyways. It'll be expensive when it first drops but wait about 3-4 months and it'll start hitting the daily sales and you'll be able to use vouchers to get it cheap.

Waves sitting around doing nothing for ages is losing them just as many customers as they're reeling in with their weekly $29 sales heh.

My version of Waves is old, like me. Still sounds fine and I have never used all the things in there. I would be more concerned about how to complete one of my compositions than worry about all the different versions of different apps and software. If you don't have a project or song to complete, what difference does it make?:guru::drummer:So much VST, so little time or product.

    :bleh:

It would be cool if waves made a tool to turn on and off the plugins easily without having to uninstall and reinstall them via waves central.

Using old versions might work in Windows, but on macOS it's a different story. Catalina is 64 bit only, so no old plugins like v8 or v9 plugins, which are 32 bit only. So I would have to migrate those first and then continue using v10 plugs. All of wht waves does really sucks ass. And that's why I haven't send money on waves shit for a year or so.

So then, I don't understand the point of your post.:dunno:Most DAW's have all the effects you need. External plug ins are everywhere if there is something in particular you need or want. I still believe in hardware for some things (pre-amps, compression) Lots of software plug ins work, some just suck. Same as it ever was, just more of it. If you are not using Waves anyway, what is your reason for the post?:guru::trashing:

OKAY, I DUMB IT DOWN FOR YOU:

YOU said: I can run old waves plugins on Windows
I said: YEAH GOOD FOR YOU, BUT THIS DOES NOT WORK ON MAC…

    GOT IT NOW? GOOD!

Worst resizable GUI ever. It works like shit in 4k and retina displays. The whole v12 is just a joke.

I think, there is a difference between, not doing something and doing something deliberately in the worst possible way, just to show an attitude, "Do whatever the fuck you want; We are Waves".

Looks great on my 50$ NOKIA, especially with 48 channels mixing.
