I hope this hasn't been asked before, sorry in advance if so. but how does one go about making a lib from scratch ? all links to tutorials are welcome and of course tips as well! i wanna make a "ambient guitars" lib i dont think any of the ones out there do any justice to the instrument so yeah

 

1 edit al your samples outside of kontakt with your editor of choice
2 decide what kind of library u wanna have, tempo synced or dfd
3 then it just depend, the number and kind of groups is related to the kind of library u plan ,the scripts u will use..

 

Scrips that is how all the buttons knobs faders switches for the fx then you have to rout all that to what you want them to do it is pretty in valved i have been trying to figure it out to i have been trying to Make kontakt Drum instrument like STUDIO DRUMMER But one that you can put your own Drum sounds/sample in it i tried to replace the sounds in STUDIO DRUMMER but when you go to the Script section and push the Script button to open it it is Pass Word Protected so you cant change any thing some time you can get lucky and find a Script that is not Pass Protected

those are easy, u can select group start option for any group, so u can select "start on key" and then u can select C1 on the menu u'll see on the right in the group options, be sure to uncheck "edit all groups" and if u choose round robin be sure to set every group in the right position or you will have a playback hole.

Ive a small [ 0:1 ‘GUI / Builders starter kit’ ] ; which is really easy to use and get ya
started on the right path. It includes kontakt ver. 2.3.3 & 4.05 pre-built empty templates.
Also include wallpapers for you to use. (I kept the 'build's' to a low profile & design).
The scripts are all OPEN so you can have a look at how to write your own. Also, All the basic
EFx are pre-loaded , to help you see (within the scripting / how its assigned!)

So the all you need to do , is start loading your OWN samples into the kontakt file !!
