    @Smoove Grooves,
Good that you've now clarified. So would it now hurt to acknowledge that correct details do actually matter,
especially if you're posting where novices read.

    You originally said...
    > a newb has constantly imported the same drum audio file for the duration of a song,
    > and thus has a huge amount of audio data for that project...

so that was blaming importing for your novices generating duplicate audio files

    Then you said...
    > when Logic's default is to be able to copy regions!
as though copying regions was somehow responsible for all the duplication

It then turns out that neither importing nor copying were guilty (because they could never be)
Your novices were simply explicitly using one of Logic's several options for rendering, i.e.,
    - Bounce (various options)
    - Export as Audio File
    - Convert to new Audio File(s)
all of which are technically just variations on the same totally obvious rendering functionality, just offered in different contexts.

It really doesn't help when you manage to confuse all the terminology
and then defensively accuse everyone else of failing to understand you.
    > And both u and Noa seem confused! hehe. 'Agreeing' over things when u both don't seem to know what I'm on about!
Even if we were psychic enough to figure out what your wonky terminology meant,
novices just don't need those distracting puzzles.

You're doing it again, pal. What we talked about before.
TL;DR. Your post is pedancy over nothing, (or maybe one word, by the looks of it) and you tag me to involve me with your shit again.
Don't try to start this shit with me again, Ad.
I've already explained myself numerous times now, and I tell the truth.
Remember, I have asked you to stop tagging me.
I initially interacted with the OP, not you. Best Answer.
No just you. And not defensively. Stop projecting.
Nice to see you can speak for each other.

@Xupito One word is not "all the terminology", lol.
I know my native language, but not all daws. No big deal. Not as big as it seems to be for some.
Don't tag me just to invite me back into your war, like Ad does.
I just ignore certain Alerts that he quotes me in, because I know he edits my comments into a diatribe. Trollish.

[IMG] Good one. Self-fulfilling prophecy because now I'm confused. I've no clue what you're talking about.

Hope you realised that the blue text was just me quoting the indignant maestro.
It was @Smoove accusing you of being confused; and you copped that simply because you put an 'agree' on my innocent post; the post that just tried to explain Reaper's behaviour in detail, but didn't agree with what @Smoove wanted to hear.
His sarcastic "And both u and Noa seem confused ... when u both don't seem to know what I'm on about!"
is just his routine (but insulting) defensive response.
If you write something that doesn't agree with his wonky explanation then he goes into overdrive to discredit your comments, and if you don't immediately roll over and submit to his world wise wisdom then world war 3 is usually next.
As @Xupito observed, I'm not the first or second to notice this - because it is so transparent and so frequent.
But I do seem to be the one that calls it out for what it is.
Just tantrums from someone who feels his infallibility cloak is fading in public.
Sad that making mistakes should feel so threatening.
We all make lots of mistakes, but most of us just laugh and learn instead of exploding.

Hey guys, please, could you let your ego apart for a moment?
Or go private for your personal love effusions.
    @Smoove Grooves and @Ad Heesive
I invited you both to a conversation

 I missed his comment, so I wasn't aware of it, sorry.

Out of curiosity, why don't you use this way of
if you don't want to have the blue upper part of a quote?

Yes I sometimes try to simplify if there are several mini quotes interspersed in the text,
otherwise it just ends up being too cumbersome.
I end up using the old-fashioned email-style of quoting, and maybe that's not a good idea.
I'll adopt your suggestion in future (just testing now)
    - looks like a better compromise. Thanks. :like:

And, for the elderly among us, an appropriate (?) name for Reaper lovers: Reaperoids.

Use this action to keep the bits you want when you pull it back out:

    Code:
Item properties: Loop section of audio item source
Use this action again to restore..

    Code:
Item properties: Loop section of audio item source
To save it to a mini library, ctrl+alt+r, source: selected media items, and render.. :shalom:
