Before you drop down the N4 shoot, give the Solid State Logic V6 Native bundle a try. 30 days of full use to decide. I am going into 3rd week of use & trying to decide which way to go. Subscription or purchase.

To get trial first setup an SSL account, a Gobbler account & a iLok Cloud account. SSL kicks you to Gobbler & installer connects to iLok Pace licenser which can be off-line.

Alot of nice input here.. so now im even more confused haha.. I may add that im not really sure i need it since i got alot of plugins and as someone stated, not even sure i will notice that big diffrence compared to the plugins i already use. But since you hear and read how good they are and yes, i remember how good a few reverbs sounded when i tried the cracked version many many years ago. So yes, think i will go for it but a drawback is their transfer policy in case i just cant find my way with it.. anyhow, really nice of you guys to try to help me and giving me your thoughts.. thanks..

I use Aquamarine4 and Navy2. I added them on a project that I thought was finished, but now I hear it can't live without. The amount of realism and dimension these two added to my track, I could not achieve with all the algo plugs out there. And believe me, I got m all ;)

I'm definitely getting N4 on this sale, it's a no-brainer really if you want your music to actually sound like a record when mixing ITB. Btw you can trial everything before buying.

Don't know about artifacts, never heard any. Performance gets a hit so get ready to bounce tracks (takes about 8 Navy channel strips for my 9900k 64GB ram system to choke on 96kHz 32bit float).

I wanted to add that, since I got on the AA bandwagon, I now realize all the other algo shit like Waves and Slate VMR is just pretty GUI's and marketing. Not to say I don't have a use for them, but I now see them for what they are. And that's fine.

Understood. Recently cleaned out plugin folder after using SSL Native 6 & current Plug Alliance bundles. The SSL Native do offer superior coding & latency along with tone variations not easily obtainable (if at all) with other plugins. The SSL Native Channel Strip is unique. Even the UAD version is of a different sonic tone & quality.

Also, don't underestimate the included plugins with Logic Pro X, Pro Tools & Reaper 6.

Enjoying the ease of completing a mix with the entire SSL Native V6 bundle.

Thanks for the thread, I wouldn't have known about the discont without it.
I use the cracked version of nebula for ages now, and I always wanted to buy the legit version.
For 79 bucks it is a total no-brainer.
It is an awsome piece of software, the captures of stuff I know well or own are indistinguishable for me.

Oops. I just made a quick test and could run a mixture of 13 AA channel strips in Reaper with your settings, buffer at 4096 on my outdated i7 3770, while several program were still running in the background.

... is about 1200€. That's a tiny bit more than N4, probably even with all available plugins. :winker:

Nice! I have my buffer set at 128, I'll try increasing it and see what happens.

    Wow.. Amazing.. Thanks for that..

Didnt really take that seriously after using their pluging earlier but this V6 play in another league and when it comes to using resources it hits out ofthe ballpark. Rebuild one of my tracks and it crazy how much less it takes to get the sound i want. I guess there is a reason why it cost like it does.. BUt yeah, i may have to take a subscruption on this one.. Still not done with the N¤ tries yet but V& is clearly ahead at this time cause its really easy to work with and i dont have to change my way of work.. So thanks again for that @quadcore64 ..

Yes they are expensive. They do what they claim without slamming the CPU with just one instance. On a modern system, 32 tracks of the channel strip & a mix of other SSL plugins is nothing along the the excellent quality.

Definitely aimed mainly at those mixing & producing seriously but not completely out of reach to hobbyist.

I wish Acustica gave more development attention to CPU usage rather than 'eye candy'...
I do try new or updated plugins from them from time-to-time hoping for an improvement.

If I get around to building my AMD Epyc mock-up, will give them another try to see if raw power improves usage.

I think the updates are a small improvement, need to make some serious measurements though, but their new stuff is at least as hungrgy as the old ones. For instance, with my current settings DiamondTransient LP-3X, everything switched on, uses ~ 2,7%, El Rey 1,3%.

So.. i jumped on the train here.. and will go for the SSL aswell.. damn it haha.. anyhow.. im clearly behind on this Nebula stuff atleast when it comes to what to go for when it comes to "good" "Librarys". Know its a stupid question since its all about what we prefer but i mean quality ones like some say the AlexB ones are good etc. Ojej, im fishing then:rofl:, other than what you can find on sister site is there any other place where to obtain good library. I kind of feel i like to give a shoot and alreayd bought a few from Cupwise.. but really like to see how much this little thing can do.. Any recomandations? Free ones and "shady" ones dont matter at this time..

I don't know man, the Waves REDD is comparable to AA, Arturia Preamp EQ's also comparable, Softube is just all around baddass, Plugin Alliance consoles have Acustic abilities as well.
