This is a question that every developer should ask him/herself. Software is infinitely duplicateable, unlike hardware.
So what if you sell your cheap, but valuable product, instead of selling it to 100 People for $200 each, to 1000 people for $20 each (or, to 10000 ppl for $2 each) ? I say, you get the same amount of revenue, and you could spare you and your customers from copy protection measures and -fees.
I for myself am someone who buys easyly from 2 to 20 $ (€) without many thoughts, but above this I am very reluctant, esp. with software. If it comes into three figures, I would buy it only if it is very exceptional and/or irreplaceable (and free of copy protection).

Well, if an oscillator (that oscillates in the real world) is the basic definition of a synthesizer, you would be right, but then no digital instrument could be called a synthesizer, since there is nothing that oscillates except the CPU clock.
If you mean that the oscillator has to generate sound by algorithmic functions, and not by scanning a waveform, then you would be also right, but then again, any wavetable synthesizer should not be called synthesizer, begining with things like WASP or PPG Wave.
So there is more to a synthesiser than some label on the front that says "Hi, I am an oscillator, so I am a synth, believe me !"

Sry mate, yes you are wrong. Pentium is merely a brand name, the last was introduced in 2018 (Pentium Gold).I have read that the i3-6100 is identical to Pentium G4520. Anyway I think that Pentium as a speed reference is a standard and means in todays' days "an entry-level core with this clock frequency is capable of handling this software".

Wah, I didn't realize that until you mentioned it.
Maybe because the date is so tiny that I almost don't see it without glasses.
