As a Cubase user, I'd say hey don't go for Cubase. While a high-end tool with major capabilities, they are expensive and have a little catching up to do. Start with Abelton, has the best user interface, and most important of all flexibility, with both hyperthreading and so on. (I know cubase does as well, but the utilization of all cores not Cubase's best suit).

Stay the hell away from AMD graphics cards. Yes, before some die-hard fan comes and say "oh but you get the best bang for your buck", I shall say that means nothing when he can't even start his computer due to poor driver. to the OP, just do a google search about AMD Radeon driver nightmares and stay away from it, I was a victim of it last month and switched to NVDIA.

Don't overthink the DAW, just pick one and stick to it.

    Regards.

let me add few things here,
    1) nVidia cards are good, AMD cards are good too, but their drivers often aren't as smooth as nVidia does,
just make sure to install "Standard" driver from advanced nVidia search and not the new DCH bullshit which requires Control Panel to be installed from MS Store garbage
    2) I used Cubase previous decade, moved to Sonar, ended up with Reaper now, and I can honestly say Reaper beats them all and is far more reliable and more resource efficient, picking a DAW based on features is somewhat silly nowadays I agree, they're all quite similar by now,
for a start though, or even just as a secondary DAW, Reaper is the way to go
