Oh, thanks a lot! But Roject has already been so kind to support me with all the requested stuff.
It's a nice community here, and good to know, i'm not the only dinosaur in it!

Thanks to the members for all the useful replies! Might help others as well.

Btw, while being nostalgic, i remembered another older piece of software/instrument by Native Insruments.
If i recall it right, it was some kind of christmas gift, a "synth" with autoplay, best to compare with their actual Straylight (for Kontakt).
I didn't use it for making music, but i remember to just let it run in the background, like a radio, while doing rl stuff.
Was some kind of hypnotic, but entertaining as well. Simply nice to listen to.
    Anyone remember that one?

Yeah, i remember making my first mixtapes on cool edit pro back in the early 90's. And then once i hired a mixer to mix and master one of my tapes, who insisted to work in cubase, so i had to rebuild my whole tape out of audio snippets in his studio, while he was working on some other stuff. Took me hours. Probably the biggest pain in the ass in my entire DJ career. From then on i switched to cubase myself. But yeah, those were good times to start producing music on computers!
