If you're in the market for a new monitor maybe keep checking 2nd hand used Salvation Army type stores. If I need something I usually keep checking there and eventually always find. I always see a crapload of dirt-cheap monitors there, I think people tend to get rid of them often.
I guess you are Hackintosh. So, roll back to Logic 10.4.4 and there is an app thay you can choose all your colours with. Or just go back to Logic 9.
Ignored you? I mean, it's customer feedback - might take a while for them to be able to implement it and roll out a patch (as their developers are probably on a schedule with a long list of current priorities). Overall the situation is quite unfortunate, but sadly I don't think there's much that can be done besides hope that eventually they roll out something to deal with this
You’d be surprised. In an age where anyone can make a mediocre rap beat but few can play an instrument competently, your value is higher than you think. I work with some fairly high level clients and they have no interest in rubbish mediocre stuff from non-musicians and ‘beat’ makers. What we need is good singers & instrumentalists to give life to our productions. Don’t give up so quickly. These things take time, if you’re good and make an admittedly huge effort to promote yourself, you WILL find work/buyers for your recordings. Best of luck.
I agree. Hopefully 'beat-makers' will think about looking outside the box for their vocals etc, much like the original crate-diggers did with vinyl.
@Mud Jones As are all the boys from London in the 1960s, who worked on the great tracks, and who made some of the great gear. I imagine you'll still be doing it in your 80s too.
Alas, I wasn't in London, I was in the middle. I started playing when I was 14 in 1956, I'm six months older than Hank Marvin of The Shadows. They would bring out a new number on Radio Luxembourg and the next weekend we would be playing it at a dance or in a pub. Whatever he could play, so could I. He made the big time, I didn't. I left the UK when Harold Wilson got elected! I hear Hank Marvin is now living in Australia and was playing Jazz, but I guess that's all finished with this "deadly virus" bullshit. He's probably under house arrest as we all are.
Love that story! True fellow muso. Our first tiny house that my father bought belonged to Hank! In Potters Bar in the early 70s. A short drive from Cliff's area of Cheshunt.
Hmmm, I understand being on a constantly restricted budget. Let's see if something cheaper but still decent would suit you. How about a 24" as the AOC M2470SWDA2 at ~90 euros it's a VA panel @ 1080p. Alternately the 27" Philips 273V7QDSB at ~130 euros with an IPS panel @ 1080p. Cheers and good luck finding something. PS: Atm i 'm trying to sell half the equipment of my studio. If the sale happens, i have a spare 1080p LG 22" that i will replace and could send it to you if you think it would make a difference. Mind you, if your 19" is 720p, the pixel on the 22" will be much smaller.
That was a very generous offer indeed, but I boobed - big time. Must be a brain fart. The monitor I have is a iiyama prolite e2208hds. I was convinced that it was a 19", but it isn't., It's a 22". Looking at the specs of your monitor isn't a daily task, Your offer was amazing and you have my thanks, but It wouldn't help after all. it's the offer that counts. Heartfelt thanks. Here's a bit of music for you
This just makes me feel lazy, I get distracted by social media, and movies when it comes to making music, while my man here is 80, and will whip out a magnifying glass to get his musical needs done. Talk about dedication...
1. Go to settings (click cog-like icon top left) 2. Co to display settings (click screen-like icon) 3. Go to "Keyboard skin" option and select "Control Keys" in the dropdown menu And as a guitar lover I love your tracks. Hats off Okay. Let's leave it like that. I don't want to make A/B comparisons with that man
