Don't change anything in your system....components...prefs...etc.It must be a small glitch....which may escalate to a bigger one if you start deleting and changing stuff.

You are realizing that you are currently in Flex-Pitch Mode, do you? Turn it off an check what happens.
Did you check which Audio-Interface is selected?

Hi I got the image from google last night just to demonstrate the region of LPX I was referring to that needs to be held down. This is definitely an actual problem rather than a wrong button pressed, the behaviour is just not right.

Just checking back in guys.. I went through deep stages of trying to fix this including repartitioning, reinstalling MacOS and more.

I FOUND THE FIX IF ANYONE EVER HAS THESE KIND OF ISSUES WITH LPX
Download this application called AppCleaner its a free app comes up on google on a site called free mac soft. You drag the Logic from your Applications folder into the middle where it says 'Drop your apps here', scroll down and tick everything except LPX application. This will reset the programme completely of any such glitch. And all projects, AU etc. are preserved. Its was able to find the file that was causing that and deletes it - then upon Logic startup it can create these files again fresh.

Thanks everyone who took time to try solve this, who knew just a simple free programme would fix after all that lol

Interesting, but it would be useful to know what the offending file was, and how it came to be.

There were preferences in the usr/bin folder which wouldn't have been able to be locate manually. I suspect one of them.

To get there manually you have to click on Go in Finder and go down to Go To Folder. Or Shift-Cmd-G.
I only know of plugins that put stuff there.
Plus, it's protected. So you either did the glitch yourself, or you have something nasty that has priviledges.

The offending files are in the folders, aren't they?
Or are you implying that it was just the .plist files and the other one?
