Hello people! I would like to ask you a question, I have been working with hiphop music for years and a few years ago I was working with Windows and Reason, now I switched to Mac and Logic Pro. My question is the following, would someone know some Serum presets, or some VST for those "SUB BASS" typical of hiphop? In Reason I had SUBTRACTOR and there was a variety of good sub bass, now I can't find them anywhere.

Can someone give me a solution?

    THANK YOU.

Thanks for your answer! I will look to investigate a little! If someone knows any vst expressly for it, I would also appreciate it. Thank you very much for the reply! Greetings

kick 2 is the easiest and most intuitive imo , you have full control over volume and pitch envelopes and you can add any 3rd party distortion plugin and get creative with it , and you can also make the best kick to match your subbass in the same plugin

Kick2 is definitely a contender, I agree. I have that too, almost mentioned it.
    But I still reckon SubLab.

I never understood sublab hype , it seems to me like a basic synth/sampler combo with few presets

Just to say, thread title said "FOR Logic Pro", hence why I mentioned ES2.
@ChemaChinasky ES2 has presets you know?
I just found the first vid on YT, but it happened to be about how to create a sound.

    Hey @ChemaChinasky @Zeyad eLmoghazy

Considering that traditionally this bass thing came from people modding & circuit-bending TR-808s so that the kick had a longer decay and was tunable, amongst other things, I'm not sure if we should be bothered how we re-create it because it's an emulation anyway.

Not using what Logic has to offer (a synth we as Logic users have been using for decades now I think!) is your choice.
I reckon it's good to learn what your daw has before looking into third party stuff.

So I guess you are using the tracking feature in Kick 2 so you can also make sub-bass lines as well as kicks?
For me, regarding sub-bass lines for Hip Hop, as was the q from the op, SubLab is easier because we can play it in via keys.
I think that's why I instantly mentioned it. Is that possible with Kick2, too?
The phase align feature in Kick 2 was a really great move, though.

yes you can using this small piano icon , the best thing about it is the super detailed pitch and volume envelopes so you can tune your subbass perfectly on the scale and control how the pitch drop , this is imo the difference between it and any kick/bass synth

Traditional Hip-Hop Subbass is just a 24 db/oct low pass filtered square or sawtooth wave. That's about it. The EX2 tutorial is pretty much on point as far as this is concerned. In modern styles you bring more aggressiveness into it by combining it with distortion and more complex waveforms like waavetable synthesis and modulations.
