This site already works really well on smartphones. But it would be even better if we could have an app for quick and easy access. Very useful for when your out and bored and need some audiosex. How difficult would it be to make one?

 

Why a app? just make a Web Page link to your Home Screen on your Phone! Tap on it and it opens automatically Audiosex. or whatever your link is you made.

Yeah I've been thinking about that but honestly it wouldn't be worth it and it would take a lot of time and planning. I also think upgrades to the back-ends of both forums should take precedence. There are some changes that we should implement that would make things run smoother and with more bells and whistles. SAiNT is currently developing a new Audioz and when he has time we're hoping to work out some changes here. I'm actually in the process of drawing up some ideas and schematics and putting together bug reports so we can see how to proceed, what is working, what isn't and what can be improved. Also Lisa is right you can make shortcuts on your home screen for AudioSex though I do agree that it would be cool to have an app.

 

Honestly we have too many "apps for that", we should be consolidating a few useful features that are usually in separate apps into one. These days we have an app for every little minutiae but none of them do much, they are all geared towards one tiny specific purpose and not really powerful. I understand the processing power is a lot less than a computer but I think we can squeeze more into apps than we currently do. Of course not all apps are like that but the overwhelming majority. Look at Yelp...they JUST added the ability to write a review and it's version 7.

 

I really like this forum design, it's actually very modern and more efficient than most other forums. The design is really clean. Plus, now that I know you can actually save the site onto your homescreen I don't think there is a need for an app. Well, technically now that it's saved on my homescreen it looks like an app, especially since this site is very mobile compatible and has no flash ads in the way. It really does look great on the iphone. I just needed a quick way to get into the forums without typing the url cuz I'm such a lazy asshole(lol, can I get any lazier?)

Regardless, it's nice to see a forum that's taking care of the site and continously trying to improve and fix known errors. Keep it up guys

I wouldn't necessarily call that being lazy, to me it's more efficient so it would be lazy NOT to do it, otherwise you're wasting so much time and energy for nothing.
Yeah the mobile version is quite nice from the phone, the only problem that arises in that department is mine as moderation is not possible and that could certainly save some time when something crazy happens. Yeah we strive to make things better because you could always improve something even if it's a little tweak here and there, things need to evolve not stay stagnant. I'm actually really excited about the future because I've seen it and it's awesome. Once we tidy up this place too the duo will be formidable. SAiNT and I make a good team and I'm really proud of what we've been able to accomplish together. He was doing great before I even showed up but now that he gets some much needed help there is nothing that we can't do. I'm really happy to be a part of that process and the great communities of AudioSex and Audioz, it's really an honor.
