Hey guys,

I really like the ample sound guitars so I bought some of them a while ago.

Now I am wanting to try some of the ones provided on the sister site.

My aim is to install them on an external harddrive which seems to be possible judging by the comments.

Now I am wondering if I am able to mix having the normal ones and the provided ones?

Haven't tested it, but it might be possible.
Perhaps you'll be forced to use the sister site "activator" instead the regular one for the bought ones.

That being said, I'd be careful and wait the answer of some fellow in your situation

Its great that you said this, because thats exactly the point I got stuck. I was unsure what to do with the activation since it wanted me to log into my account and I was not sure if I should persue. I hope someone else responds to this!

 

I did not log in at all, I just closed it and got rid of the sister site ample stuff. But what login should I use to activate the sister site stuff or which activator?

 

It's almost sure you'll have problems like Noa said if you use online activation. The cr*acked stuff uses an offline activator that's really easy to use.

I'd uninstall (and de-activate them online if it's possible) your bought Ample guitars and re-install everything using the offline (sister-site) activator. Blocking the Ample Sound host and regular activator from the internet.

I appreciate your answer. I decided to give up on that and just get more Kontakt stuff. Ill try them on a different Computer.

Everything but the Ample Sound SJ and possibly the Pipa is pretty much on the sister site.
From what I read on the developer's page, the updates are free. That's not a common thing these days. The plugins are not that expensive for the quality and they are always developing them. In saying that, if you think you might like to try out the abundance on the sister site, I personally would uninstall what you have if it also exists on the other site and only install the sister versions. Try them out, then if you find you only wanted one or two more than you have, uninstall all of them. reinstall your versions and buy the other two, as they are not that expensive next to oeksound, spectrasonics and many other plugins. Theoretically, by law, you are allowed to try any software out for thirty days anyway.

 

I don't think they're necessary, just extra precaution since I haven't tested it and involves bought software.

Cool. Can you elaborate? It's not that I dislike Obama but...

 

I run different versions of ample on osx, i.e gibson (AGG2 now AGLP, fender (AGF2 now AGSC) without any conflict/problem.
