No double bass in The Orchestra

    I dragged the midi to my DAW and there were 5 instruments. I found 4 of them, but can't find the double bass. As you can see in the pic below, there is no double bass.

    I find the manual sheds some light if the question you are asking is about missing samples/sounds etc.

    I used it And it smeems like the bass go as deep a a double bass would

    The separate Bass instrument in the string instruments folder. There're several but separated per articulation and some are "epic style" of the "strings of winter".

    [Edited: the following is correct as per the OP question but it turns out Double Bass and Bass are the same instrument in an orchestra, being Double Bass the most used. see @No Avenger following post]

    Like @Brouillard and @The-RoBoT said, the Bass instrument includes the range of the double bass. In several multis appears a double bass which it uses the low range of the bass (intrument) samples.

    I'm not 100% sure but almost.

    The only correct name for that instrument is double bass (contrabasso). There's is nothing like a bass in orchestral instruments, it's just a wrong, but often used label.

    I just looked it and the "double" word is used because the Bass was often used at the beginning to "double" the main ensemble in a lower range.
    In fact, just like many pop/rock songs with electric guitars and bass. Damn with the pointless traditions... :deep_facepalm:
