    Hi!

As you know, each era of music is known by some general characteristics named on them. If we consider the first two decades of the 21st century,
    1. What characteristics can you express for the music of this period?
    2. Are these attributes desirable to you?
Try to have up to maximum 5 sentences so that members can read them easily. Thanks!:winker:

There is no time in music. Era is also BS. Music is timeless.
The once who want to make it a time thing are the ones who want to control it.

Every time gets banned sooner, so he tries to be softer.
    But we'll get there.

  8. Since music is timeless, to quote yourself, then how does "programming into the era" and "contracts" apply to Beethoven or Mozart?

Not nearly as depressing as the people who respond to any of his threads more than once, however.

Hate to break this to you but even the classical composers who you think are "timeless" made music specifically for their time. Classical has its trends and cliches just like modern music. Classical composers usually were commissioned by rich assholes/royalty and the music was written specifically for the taste of whoever commissioned it. The church used to commission music too. Take Mozart, he's timeless now, but Mozart died sick and penniless because he was no longer trendy in his time, he was looked upon as a has been and couldn't get any work!

Wrong, actually his financial situation before his illness was good and he started paying back his debts.
And he was quite trendy, because he basically switched most of his concentration to operas - "The Magic flute" for example was enormously popular.

"he was looked upon as a has been and couldn't get any work!":rofl::rofl: Are you projecting something else in this false story?

Now we live in an age that everything seems right and no one can condemn the other. A lot of people have tried to say what's good and what's bad, but fortunately or unfortunately they've failed. They have failed from those who do not believe in something called benchmarks and think of everything as good. The winners of this battle have reflected the same mindset in making their music. The number of winners of this unfair battle is so high that no chance can be thought for of the other side.

Is "presuming everything is right" by the majority, a natural choice or just a powerful persuasion by the evil?

But you are mistakenly assuming that this is what is happening.
