As topic suggest, I'm looking for a site comparable to our beloved sister site, but for Game Development. So for software, or game assets and stuff. I'm a real noob, so not expert stuff (only).

Any "free to download" links and tips is gladly accepted to!

 

Most popular apps for building games are Unity and Unreal Engine. You can find them with all the different assets on CGpersia (try before you buy). Unfortunately this discipline is not exactly for noobs, developing a game needs various skills: - Engineering, programming, graphical design, mixing audio, sound effects, etc -

For a noob like me, I'm happy there is free, open source software like Gdevelop out there (https://gdevelop-app.com). Like construct, but free to use.

 

How realistic is it to think that one would be able, with "free" assets, to build a FPS/RPG in Unreal using Blueprints only and no prior coding experience? I understand it will not be the new Modern Warfare, and no where near in size.

But is it possible to set up a scene, quests, NPC, etc as a noob using blueprints?
