Kontakt update question

    I am using Kontakt 6.2.2. and all works fine, can add libraries using 5.6.0. , thing is some libraries require a higher verion and i downloaded 6.3 for my Mac and i am afraid ro run the update and might loose my libraries. I am not certain if that could happen. Could anyone give me some solid advise on what to do.

    As you know, updating ANYTHING in a working studio brings certain risks.

    I held back on upgrading to Mac OS X (Catalina) for quite a while to ensure my keyboard and sample libraries would work. I made sure I had things backed up before upgrading Kontakt. What we want of course is for someone else to try it out first. Then we rely on each other to pass knowledge about what works.

    I can tell you that I'm running on Mac OS X 10.15.6, using Logic Pro X 10.5.1 and Kontakt 6.3.1 (with Kontakt 5.6.0 for adding libraries). Everything I just described is working fine for me.

    Hi guys im kinda new here and im not sure i can ask this here....i have a Kontakt 5.3.0 and the libraries keep saying i need an updated version for those. If i install i newer version wont it install on top of my 5.3.0 and wont allow me to add libraries anymore? also sorry about my english

    I'm using 6.3.1 on Mojave and it works fine. I don't know if there's anything newer for Mac.

    Hi guys.I moved to a MacBookPro 16 so with Catalina installed, made the time machine migration everything worked well except for Kontakt 6.2.2 for which I got this: "impossible to open cause Apple can't check if it's a malware program".Got it for standalone/AU/VST.Tried to update to 6.4.0 but same.....doesn anybody could enlight me on this please.Thanks.I have this happening with Reaktor 6 as well....

    Well, I didn't realised that Kontakt 6.4.0 was so buggy.Reinstalling 6.3.1 works again now......sorry for posting! Just have to find a way for Reaktor.
    BTW I've lost all my library tabs although the p.list and xml files are there at the expected places, none show up......if somebody knows a way to relink those....Thanks again
