It's not Passover but I will ask of you four questions...

What is not exactly written in @Florens74 post ? What are the facts as you see them? What will you do for everybody if their licenses are revoked? If you are scamming the companies that you are selling these licenses for, are you not selling stolen goods for fun and prophet?

I've been following this thread, until a week ago when I got busy.
Can anyone confirm if the guy was arrested? :disco:

I just want to add something else I still didn't figure out...
I asked him if he could sell me Spectrasonics Omnisphere... He said this wan't possible.
How would it be possible he scammed the shit out of us by getting licenses thru sweetwater with credit cards etc, but he couldn't provide me a license key of Omnisphere, which Sweetwater do sell... This doesn't make sense?
    Anyone can explain this?

Meanwhile I got updated from knobcloud and got asked to contact the companies etc. to check if my licenses are revoked and if they will delete them if it comes out they were obtained illegally.

You shouldn't contact the company directly, makes no sense. If you're not comfortable buying from this guy don't. Let the companies be! That's very childish.

I have the right to know if they are revoking my license or not, don't I? Or if it happens to be fraud, I whether or not may keep the license...
Chiildish? I bought all this stuff (except Spire) from him thru knobcloud and there was only 1 license of these, so I thought I had to be quick... I had no idea he had like unlimited licenses to sell.
Also this is what knobcloud instructed me to do...

Goodluck with your quest. You'll grow up sometime in the future or a decade after the lockdown. All the best!

Grow up... You think I'm just a kid who can spend 1200 EUR on plugins?! Get lost.
AGAIN: knobcloud is a certified website and if you're scammed on that? What can I do about it?!
You would do the same in my situation... But maybe you're too stupid to admit.

Look here dude, don't call me names! You got scammed and you call me stupid? Who's really stupid?
No, I won't do the same cos I'm not stupid. I purchase my plugins directly from the developer but you purchase plugins from 3rd parties now you want to bother the developers for your stupid ignorant behind? Gtfo!

I was scammed on a facebook group in a similar way. Licenses started to get revoked by iLok a few days later. Thankfully somebody blew the whistle quickly on the group, and I had paid using paypal's goods and services, NOT friends and family (which he had asked for). All those who paid the guy using friends and family lost their claims with paypal. Even some of us who used goods and services lost some of the claims. Thankfully, after providing paypal with an enormous amount of proof (screen grabs, etc), and after he was caught conceding to another member there that he was actually "helping" musicians with good prices, I got a full refund, but not before a lot of stress, and it took nearly two months to get all the refunds (and I filed a claim with paypal the day after the purchases).

Beware guys! What these scammers do is use stolen credit card numbers to buy plugins (at full price) and lure unsuspecting buyers by offering incredibly good deals, and pass them off as legitimate. In the beginning they were actually establishing their own iLok accounts, activating the fraudulently purchased plugins, and then they would make the transfer to the buyer. It was quick, and did not raise suspicion. This guy on the facebook group scammed A LOT of people there. So many licenses were revoked that iLok instituted the new policy of a 90-day "cooling period" on all license transfers. I see that now their MO has changed to sending the buyer the activation code for the plugin, thus bypassing the iLok transfer. What everyone needs to understand is that iLok has been known to revoke licenses even 8 (EIGHT) months after the transfer, which is past paypal's claim window with goods and services. So even if you feel relieved that enough days have gone by and the licenses weren't revoked, they still might eventually, and you will have lost the chance to file a claim with paypal.

Here's an article written about the subject:

    https://sonicscoop.com/2014/05/08/used-ilok-licenses-buy-at-your-own-risk/

I do hope that this is helpful, and that the admins here are able to put a stop to these scams.

You're very smart and not stupid! The clown above thinks the developer will listen to his sob story. Age does not define wisdom, what a joke.

Why so harsh? I mean, you started with 'childish' and 'grow up' while the other user already explained that Knobcloud asked him to contact the developers. He looks also confused about the whole story so wouldn't it be better to be a bit more helpful like others, instead of making a point and showing that you know best?

Yes, he will learn from this experience but if you really followed the whole thread from the start you must agree that it wasn't so obvious if it's a scam or not (considering it's the first time). Of course, if things look too good to be true there must be some kind of warning pop up in someone's mind. And spending so much money at once without having a solid guarantee is questionable (why not spend it on the real deal during a sale periode for example).

However, you first have to fall to get up and isn't that easier if someone grabs your arm to help a bit instead of leaving you lay down on the floor and get kicked again afterwards? Okay, that sounds 'deep' but hey, we're already living in a messed up time at the moment. :winker:

An admin from knobcloud.com contacted us and proved that this is a scam. I'm shutting down the topic and banning the scammer.
