There is a bug in macOS that prevents the AUs showing up immediately. But one does not have to restart. Logging off also works and it's quicker.

No, it's OS level. Same issue with Ableton and other hosts that use AudioUnit.

 

The price is fair but my main issue would be trusting the app does not do other things to my computer. I would go open source with this + donation/name-your-price.

 

write this in the terminal before opening logic or another daw:

$ sudo killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar

 

Totally missed this one. Seems interesting. But to be honest, restarting or logging off isn't a big issue for me anymore. Used to it I guess and most tools are already installed when a clean OS installment is done (which I do on a regular basis).

I am on OSX 10.15.6.

 

As mentioned above, all the app is doing is running in Terminal $ sudo killall -9 AudioComponentRegistrar

Nothing else. Nothing gets installed, no hidden files. To uninstall simply drag to the trash. That's why it's $1

Also fully works with 10.6

 

Well, a lot of times with newer installers, you don't have to reboot at all.

BTW: Logging off and back in is enough to make plugins appear in the host.

So better give that dollar to a homeless person or someone who is in need.

10.6 doesn't need a restart for finding plugins AT ALL.

This tool is a joke!

This happened to me in Mojave, Now I'm in Catalina and it doesn't happen anymore.
