Hi, since a few months many Apps aren't working anymore in newer Version . (Hardly learned with Vocaliod 5 ) I love and live "never change a running System" . But sometimes an upgrade is necessary

So which is the best Version to Upgrade to . 10.15 or 10.14 or even older.

    Catalina
    Mojave
    High Sierra

    P.S.
    (I got still some 32 Bit AUs and it's a Hackintosh 3.Gen I7 Intel Hackbook HP )

Would love to hear you experience specially with the stuff from Sister Site

10.14.6 here. Its been stable for as long as I've had it with a couple of forced restarts (only happened with games, never anything audio or visual production related) and otherwise a more than satisfactory option. I think in the future we will look back on Mojave how windows users look back on win7 and while I'm excited for the new ARM chips I don't think I'll be "upgrading" for a very long time with all together skipping of Catalina for reasons that have been beaten to death by now. I know a few older gentlemen who still run much older versions of OSX and like me have no complaints or desires to upgrade either but the addition of native dark mode has been my favorite feature that I couldn't leave behind. I have no experience with hackintoshes though so good luck with any issues that may pop up there. If shit completely hits the fan I'll be joining you LOL.

I've got Mojave on my main Mac Pro and Catalina on my 2019 Macbook Pro (which came with it so I didnt have a choice) - no issues on either but then I don't use any old 32-bit crap now. I had to buy a new copy of MS Office for the laptop as my 2011 license was 32-bit but that's about it.

I'm also fully legit so that also makes a huge difference - if I was still running cracks then Mojave would be my suggestion.

If you want to have both 32 and 64 bit plugin support, stick to High Sierra.

If you are okay with 64 bit only, use Catalina.

HS still outperforms Catalina in Geekbench, though. I don't like Mojave. But stll better than El Crapitan. ;)

I'm thinking of building a hackintosh this weekend, looks like Mojave is the version to try first

Finally got around to putting Mojave on a small form factor HP Pro Desk. The machine was just sitting idle, so I had no other use for it.

So far, so good. Its fairly quick, and Logic Pro works. I'll give it a test run next weekend.
