    Hi all,

Looking to introduce a few friends to the the joys of creating music in the box (who knows where it will lead).

Was wondering if anyone was aware of any platform capable of providing a Teamviewer-like interactive experience with support for the ASIO output stream of the DAW?

Looking for a purely virtual solution as I have a single input interface (still open to sparks of genius though).

I have managed to do something similar as purely a presentation before using virtual audio cables and VOICEMEETER BANANA though I was wondering if anyone had found a pre-made solution?

Do not specifically need any features of typical online classroom such as whiteboard and webcam support.

Having just checked my understanding against Teamviewer's current product line up they do support multi-user remote control which might work but seems like a 'not quite the right tool for the job' situation due to lack of audio channel management (though I would be happily shown to be wrong on this one).

    Thanks all

You will lose the benefits of ASIO's low latency with TeamViewer

Technically speaking is possible with an ASIO router, like your mentioned BANANA or VOICEMEETER, or, much better ASIO LINK PRO. But you wouldn't have huge advantages over internet.

Ah yes you are correct, was a while ago and I forgot the precise name of the application, though it is very good none the less. Will correct the OP.

ASIO LINK PRO on the other hand, that looks promising so thank you!

In my mind the benefit of ASIO would be for the "teacher" in the scenario not the student. If a solution could be found for low latency, remote playing of a virtual instrument that would be some sort of holy grail for me in this situation (and most likely to our understanding of physics as well hehe).

Yeah, can't offer you "real" solutions, sorry, but I've always found NINJAM to be a clever way of dealing with network/codec latency, it works by lengthening it to a musically useful length, say a bar or two.

And as for the future, the Opus codec can do really low latencies down to bitrates suitable for transmission over the net, measured in sub 10ms, but as of now you need to geek out to get that going.

VST Connect Pro could be the solution, but it´s a bit expensive solution. Though it allows you to play virtual instruments and audio thru web

Thank you all for your helpful responses, I appreciate the time spent to help me with my idea. As it happens I have been known to geek out in the past so maybe I can rig something up. If I get any results I'll endeavour to update the thread with the method.

Zoom has noticeable latency for audio, also not capable for MIDI

Zoom also has a noticeable latency fixing security issues
