Hello friends, how are you? :shalom:

This is my sixth original song called Track #6. I am trying to compare my new Track #6 from my Track #5. Maybe because the music genre is both metal? I don't know for sure if this is metal or modern rock?

I uploaded it on three different platforms to make it easier for you to listen ...
And here are the song ...

    Google Drive

I also made an instrumental version.

    Google Drive

I recorded and made all the instruments at home ... Vocal Tracks were recorded by my partner  as usual ....
I mixing and finished/mastering this song by my self too ...
Everything is produced in the box, and recorded using the same gear as the previous track ...

I use local brand headphones for US$30 as a monitor ... I can't buy more expensive ones in the near future ... Especially since this pandemic I have sold my flat speakers ...

    So what do you think?
    When compared to Track #5
    (https://audiosex.pro/threads/track-5-with-a-variety-of-loudness.52189/), am I making progress?
Constructive criticism and suggestions are very welcome ...
Thank you for your time and attention ...

    Please enjoy the music...
Have a good day to you all....:bow::bow:

    Cheers

I can't believe I missed this considering I got even the YT notification :deep_facepalm:
Congrats again, sounds great. But the bar is very high with #5, which is a great thing.
I'll get back here when I have time to listen them properly.

Edited: of course is metal, there are more elements but those gutturals and djent rhythms alone...

I don't understand what you mean by "bar is very high with #5......."
Can you explain what that means?

Do you have input/advice for the next Track? (Track # 7)

    :thanks:

My pleasure, it was the easier place for me to hear them. I see you have them in Souncloud too now. When I have the time I try comment and rate on YT/SC the tracks made by nakamas of this forum.
It means #5 was so good it's hard to make one better

Thank you very much dear ...:bow::bow:

I see ... Thank you again...

Any sugestion for next track / track #7? Or should I make complicated like #5?
On #6, I make everything more simple but still difficult to play with this little hands...

First of all, I love that growl of the female vocalist.
Like you said this one is more simple and "in your face" powerful, both the guitar and the drums.
It's hard to choose which is better.

BTW, amazing your "L'arc en Ciel" cover. Perhaps a personal taste suggestion would be using the natural voice of the female vocalist. But I'm aware that kind of vocals you use are popular nowadays, so don't change your style for one person's taste.

Another one: more guitar solos. Perhaps not in a djent-like one like Zero(#5) and Resurrect(#6) but in a future one, like those great ones on Nightmare (#don't remember ), for instance.
I know. Solos are very hard ;)

    Thank you ...

I deliberately made this song simpler maybe because I wanted to try a few things and experiment ... Although sometimes it's a little difficult to represent what has been thought and felt in a song ...

    Me too

    Thank you Xupito ...
L'arc en Ciel has been very influential on my musical journey so far ...

Can you explain in more detail about "using the natural voice of the female vocalist"? Because as far as I know, she uses her natural voice naturally when singing
Or maybe you can explain in more detail so that I can understand what you mean? Someone's advice and input can sometimes help me too ... :mates:

I see ... Actually I'm not a soloist guitarist ... Moreover, I'm not also a shredder ... So for songs with strength like track #5 or #6 sometimes I lack confidence ...

    I see ...
Now I'm structuring songs for track #7 ... The plan is that I with vocalists want to make powerful songs again like #5 and #6 ... Maybe I'll try a little more complicated and put a little guitar solos ...

    Nightmare is Track #1 ...
Nightmare is the first solo project song that I created before I decided not to run my previous band again ... BTW, before I was a bassist in my band actually ...

    Yes, exactly ... :hifive:
Do you have a guitar solo reference that sounds cool? :invision:

No doubt it's her real voice. I mean the processing of the voice.
It's easier with an example: with her natural voice I mean like in "L'arc en Ciel" cover precisely.
I know it's a lot to ask. I like and value a lot your songs and the bad side is that I also ask a lot. Being mainly a bassist only adds credit to your great job with the guitar :shalom:
Unfortunately my knowledge is far from advising about solos.

But remember that you shouldn't make a solo because I like them. #5 and #6 sound great without them, and it's the usual in nowadays music. It's way more important the song as a whole.
You already brilliantly deal with a lot of hard work. Last thing I want is to put unnecessary extra work and pressure on you. So don't overthink the solo thing.

    Cheers ;)

You mean during the mixing process?
I still don't understand what you mean Xupito ... I'm sorry, lol

Thank you for liking my songs  ... It's okay if you ask too much ... Because that can also be input for me from the perspective of others ...

    Hefty fine track. :like:

I prefer it even over the original.

    No need to.

I think he meant this and the way she sings.
