Performance wise, is there any reason to downgrade to Kontakt 5 from 6?

    someone today was really negging Kontak6 with stuff i really couldnt understand. What are some reasons that 5 would be better than 6. Dont know if it matters but i am on mac....

    Most likely for compatibility reasons. Think of an older project you used k5 which was Named kontakt5.dll. k6 is Named kontakt.dll so you'd have to replace them all and rebuild the patches and settings within.
    Same goes for templates.
    And Personally i still prefer k5

    K5 loads libraries and allows you to see them in K6. Library scrolling in libraries is faster in K6.

    Imo K6 is way faster than 5 in all terms; starting, loading libs, stability of cked versions thanks to @r4e etc.

    1. Project compatibility.
    2. On Mac, we don't have the Add Library app that is needed since Kontakt did away with the Add Library button, so we load new K6 libraries with Kontakt 5 standalone, and they will then show up in the Kontakt 6 standalone and plugs. Most use 5.6.0
