It's time to show some love for the unsung heroes of da(w) revolution!

For me, the cute, clever & quite often crazy chiptune that kicks-in when i run a keygen represents the de-facto soundtrack to audioz liberation... on occasion i've even kept the keygen running for a couple minutes longer than necessary 'cos i've actually gotten into the track itself. It got me thinking it's time to give them dinky ditties their rightful place in the sun... thus, it's time we run a comprehensive Top 10 poll to establish what's hot (or not) in the AZ Keygen Top 10 chart.

@Paul Pi if we were talking about keygen songs, that would be a better competition.

 

Why not make a make an All in one keygen - one for all of them?

I'm sure this started back in the 90's with Atari ST scene releases. I spent far too long looking at the scrolling messages, 3d graphics and listening to the tracker music.

 

Are the Keygen songs still made with trackers, and are in formats like .mod or .xm? Should be, because of the filesize of the keygens, right?

God damn I miss the tracker scene from the 90´s (and early 2000).

It's amazing what you can do with only 64KB. Both music and video in only 64 KILOBYTES!

(remember that when we download Terrabytes of sample packs from sister site and claims the scene is dead and you are out of fun).

Actually, I was talking about ANY tune (song) embedded in an audio warez keygen - the music doesn't necessarily need to be specifically tracker/chiptune, just be embedded within the keygen. If nominating an old/obscure keygen, i may need to contact you for a copy of the keygen (if i don't have it already) so i can make a quick jpeg snapshot & mp3 for surfers to see & hear before they vote...

I really don't want to have to go through the entire VR cubase installation process before i can even run a keygen... would it be possible to record a minute or so of the keygen audio & forward that (with maybe a jpeg of the keygen running) to me please?
