Probably after Kontakt 6, some symphobia .nki files are broken. I got sound but gui is as you see.

    Things I tried:
    • Batch and resave
    • Running the kontakt as administrator
    • Downloading new .nki files and change them with mines
    • Deleting the library from regedit and adding the library again
Is it fixable? What else can I try?
    Kontakt v631, not legit.

this once happened to me too but with another library (don't remember which one) ... guess the files were really corrupt. don't think there was something missing.

There are images missing so that Kontakt can't build the whole UI.
They must be saved into a special directory for Kontakt's resources:
This one is for Kontakt 5, IDK if it's the same for 6.
    C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\pictures\

I don't think Kontakt uses a resources directory any more. But it's the resources that are missing.
I guess the following: Kontakt will place the resources found in the Library into a directory on the computer on the fly. When you delete the directory by mistake, resources (pics) are gone.
But it's only a guess, atm.

I Loaded Symphobia into Kontakt 6 and it works flawlessly, so it isn't that the lib isn't compatible.

When you deleted the Library from the rgistry, did you delete the entry in the Service center
    c:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\
    as well?
Maybe this triggers to reinstall the pictures again.

Sorry I didn't write it correctly. Symphobia 1 is working as you said. Symphobia 2 has the problem. Did you try it too? Just some nki files. For example, in the picture I attached on my first post, first three instruments have no resource but no problem for others.

I've checked the service center folder but there's no folder and no .xml file for any symphobia library. I guess I should edit .nki files but I don't think that I can find the right lines.

I opened several intruments from Symphobia 2 (with Kontakt 6.3.1). Also "full Orchestrator" as you did. All are working. :dunno:
My idea, that Kontakt writes resource data to the disk of the PC doesn't seem to be the case as I can't find any files written to my system disk while Kontakt is opening NKIs from Symphobia 2.

I copied an older Kontakt 5.8.1 version .exe file to my Kontakt programs directory. All Symhobia 2 instruments are working and looking exactly the same as in 6.3.1

    This may be the solution:
Open the instrument that doesn't work, for instance "Full Orchestrator":
Open the instruments settings with the tool icon at the top left.
Click on the button "Instruments Options" (directly under the red SAM)
In the opening dialog there is at the bottom a field "Resource Container".
Click on the folder icon to the right and set the path to: "~~KONTAKT LIBS~~\ProjectSAM\Symphobia 2\Samples" (the Symphobia 2 Samples folder).
There should be a file named "Symphobia 2_resources.nkr"
    Click on that file name
    Close Dialog
    Reopen the instrument.

    I hope, this helps.

Symphobia 1 and 2 have had numerous updates over the years, you definitely have a mix up in some of the updates, where you forgot to delete some older/unused files.

Proof of this is in your Instruments list,
03 Textures and Effects <--- old version, should be deleted
03 Long textures and effects <--- new version

The current version looks like this, you'll notice they even changed the "S2" icon to "SAM".

I say this because your library banner images match the newer updates, while the patch images you've shown match the older versions.

Check your main folder, if you have the 1.6 update, it should only contain one file "Symphobia 2.nicnt" among the folders. Where the new background images are referenced from this file "samples\Symphobia 2_resources.nkr"

    That.
The images in latest Symphobias are as usual: inside the .nkr that usually goes in the Samples folder.
I often wonder WhyTF couldn't they make a rule to make a Resources folder with that file inside. Messes up a lot of people including myself when I first tweaked with Kontakt libs.
In this case though the main problem seems to be what @ELpH cleverly saw, mix of versions.

the resources are not exported when you collect samples. you must copy/paste nkr, nicnt, snapshots, documentation.

i tried to add instrument images in a nkr with 6.3.1 and it never works, something is broken in this version.

Exactly, because they are resources, not samples. That's why I find a inconsistent that are located in the samples folder.
A batch-resave after creating a Resource folder and moving the nkr file there (and possible IRs while at it) resolves this, but then you don't have the original ones.
Good to know. I've also heard and tested some patches that doesn't work. Spitfire's I think, reported in this forum.

some old spitfire need a nicnt update with <HU>& <JDX> values inside.

    to match with NativeAccess.xml
see also ras2 or ras3 for some nicnt.

i managed to get the instrument resource working.
you must use batch resave with samples to take the modified resource. allow alternative files selected.

I couldn't fix it yet but it's for sure because of a conflict of updates. Old version nki files are working, new ones not.
I also tried on Kontakt 5 portable. No good. I'm gonna accept the defeat and continue with what I got. Thanks for your time guys.

Don't give up so easily, compare this to what you have (remember .nkc files can be ignored):

A fix could be as simple deleting any extra files, and restoring the Instruments/Multis from the 1.6 Update.

I have these doubled entries as well and it must be as you said from the several updates. Most of the time it is not a real update process but more of an Xcopy. That leads to doubled entries bc the old versions are not deleted.

Nevertheless my installation of V 2.3.1 works with "old" and "new" instruments. Kontakt only shows two differend versions of the interface.

    Yesss!
For the new interface and new instruments the settings are s described above.
For the older versions of the instruments there is an older UI as @webhead 's picture in the first post shows.
In those older instruments there is no reference to a resource file. Instead there in the instrument options dialog there is a path to a file named "Symphobia2_WallpaperA.tga" but there is no file in the given directory "~~KONTAKT LIBS path~~\ProjectSAM\Symphobia 2\Samples".
Neither on my PC nor in the Kontakt Libs directory. :dunno:
But when I delete the reference to the non existing file, the instrument UI is broken.

Thank you very much for your effort @ELpH
You made me braver but I'm still on the point I started at. I've changed all of the .nki files with new ones. No missing file from your image. The sample folder is the same. I also download v1.5 instruments and .nkr file. Changed them. Remove the library and add again but still the same. As last, I'll try to download whole v1.6 library from the beginning. Maybe some files from sample folder are the answer. I'm gonna let you know.

    Edit:
I actually had no hope but I downloaded the whole library again and now there's no problem. I didn't even need to re-adding it. I did my cleaning, get rid off the unnecessary files, thanks again to @ELpH for correct nki's.

I also try sometimes to "advertise" this feature because, man, it's as cool as hard to find.

I couldn't pick a best answer, because right nki files were not enough. Still I'll choose the most helpful one
