Hello everyone I have the latest version Superior Drummer v3.1.7 CE installed and also UK Pop 1.0.0 and Kicks & snares 1.0.0 installed.

They Both work perfectly without issue but when I try to use Decades which I recently downloaded I get the following error.

    Decades is also version 1.0.0

Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance
    Savannah

That's... pretty weird. Wish I had an idea but I don't! I might suggest actually trying the previous version of S3 but that's not very practical.

Most likely due to Decades being released before SD3 version 3.1.7. This happens with the SD2 & some other early SD3 releases
that work perfectly once an update is applied.

Can you load any of the kit pieces into a working or blank drum kit? You will get a generic or default static image for kit pieces that load.

im running 3.1.7 of SD3 and Decades is working fine for me. ( cubase 10.5.20/win 10 1909)

I cant remember if this was one of them but there were a few libraries you have to go into regedit and change the version limits for them to work in newer version of SD3, also. look for an update to Decades it might be out there

Usually many of this problems can be fixed reinstalling the newest SD3 release. Happens with EZD3 too.
That's assuming there's not an update for the "Decades" library.

    Confirm these files.
Goto this location "C:\ProgramData\Toontrack\Superior Drummer 3\SoundDatabase\SL-DECADES" and confirm the file soundDB is there. its a 108kb file. Confirm your sounds folder size. Whats your SL-Decades/Sounds folder size? It should be 91.3 GB (98,037,367,561 bytes) if thats ok,
then download this zip which contains all other required files for the expansion as quadcore64 mentioned could be because the graphic files could be just missing. Just extract the zip into your SL-Decades folder and try to load.

Hi, so the decades folder I have is 657 Files and 98,068,365,578 Bytes.

When I have it named simply as "SL-Decades" It doesn't show up at all in the libraries and I have to rename it "EZX2_SL-Decades" or "EZX-Sl-decades" For it to show up and when it does I get that error. not able to load anything at all.

I downloaded the zip and tried replacing the 210 files but still get that same error.

Perhaps I need to change the registry or something? I'm using an external drive but I have those other library's working from there without issue, Also tried using 3.1.6 with the same problem.

    No need to modify registry.
File size and number of files seems wrong. It should be 275 files and 91.3 GB in size.
Just compare my folder structure with yours and see. "https://www60.zippyshare.com/v/FXyEbPjw/file.html"

    Follow this steps...
    >rename it again from "EZX2_SL-Decades" to "SL-Decades" first.
Then goto your Superior Drummer 3 >>Settings >>Libraries/Paths

    See https://ibb.co/QbL4sh9
    >Choose remove library and then close the SD3 and Daw.
    >Open DAW and goto your Superior Drummer 3 >>Settings >>Libraries/Paths and click on add "Library path" and point it to the folder which has the main root folder for decades sounds path. Usually its best if your expansions are inside a main folder.

Example if your path is YourDrive:/Toontrack Libraries/Decades SDX/SL-Decades
just point the path to YourDrive:/Toontrack Libraries/Decades SDX
Then SD3 will scan and add it to your library.

Let me know how it goes.

THANK Youuu so much, apparently I've been installing my libraries in a strange way because I've never used the Add library path feature.

Instead I just used the Additional libraries folder and put the other ones in there and it's auto detected..until now.

I am quite curious about what I'm missing though, Please see screenshot of my kicks and snares, do I have as many as you do?

EDit: never mind that question I guess im just trying to figure out how its so huge and only 12 snares lol. I guess its all the mics and articulations
