i think it's because he can't seem future on the company, bad direction etc, maybe

i was hoping to see better features too because i liked studio one but it was missing somethings that i need on my workflow. and now they will probably take two years to see if they will add them

I always bring my popcorn to enjoy the entertainment whenever a DAW gets an upgrade; It never ceases to amaze me how folks make a drama out of those releases! The two best parts are usually not getting the features they wanted and the super famous line "I'm moving to... (insert a DAW name)" Hahahaha.
Yet, tons of music is being made and widely released with the same DAWs that people are claiming that they can't work with because it's missing XYZ features. Oh well! Back to my popcorn! :)

Does Pro EQ have a solo band listen feature now?

With all these new features, I gotta wonder how long it'll take them to actually make them work properly. In the past I remember how when they would implement a huge amount of new features at once, there were a ton of problems and they needed to issue hotfixes.

We're not saying that It's impossible to make some music with any DAW out there;some features would make them even better.

This update was honestly a bummer. How long more do we have to wait till S1 gets the features which people requested the most!
WTF man. I don't need that X plugin. I have a proper bundle of plugins. I need features in DAW. Tired of switching for doing a thing that can be done by one keyboard shortcut!

Looks disappointing. The only reason I switched to presonus was because of ARA support, years later now everyone has it, the sequencer side of S1 sucks. cubase has the best drum editor.

yo guys on pluginboutique it lists this as the systems requirement:

    Windows 7 (SP1 + platform update), Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 x64

Does that mean it is officially compatible with Windows 7?? I thought they'd ditch 7 and move straight to 10 only? :woot:

S1 still has the best ARA implementation. Nobody who implemented it even close to S1 in this regard.
Long story short, I think S1 is not for people who like to suffer. I tried probably every major DAW and you can do almost everything in S1, but faster and easier. Yes, in some cases you will have to rethink your production habbits to fit in this simplicity, but this effort pays off.
I agree that they shouldn't have told people "It's the BIGGEST PEW PEW IN 25 MILLION YEARS EVER COME HERE BUDDY!!!!111!!!" considering that they didn't cover all the requests from at least first page of top requests. But it doesn't change the fact that S1 is still the most unnoticeable(in a good way) DAW. It doesn't force you to obey to anything, you can do the same thing effortlessly by a number of ways depending on the context.

And I'm sure that all those major requests will be covered during lifecycle of 5th version.

This is the biggest let down of a major revision I've seen. Hopefully they eventually make S1 v5 worth it down the road so it'll actually be worth it to upgrade for existing users. Seems more like a marketing move more than anything with sphere.

They did not even bother integrating iZotope RX in Studio one workflow. What a bummer this update is!

We Just Upgraded our 5 machines.. see how we go. We mix in Studio one. Compose and sound design in Bitwig and Logic. I'm a huge fan of Studio One, great plugins.. considering an Atom.
