I like this song in general... but I do prefer the Him version because I'm more of a metal head. Nevertheless, nice cover stoiximan. The most important thing is - you had fun and enjoyed doing it.

I recently heard a new cover of Wicked Game on the radio... just overheard it. I'm not sure who made it, but it sounded even better than Him to me. I'll try to Youtube it... :)

Then I found Corey Taylor's [Slipknot singer] acoustic version that is so great, I love it, it conveys the feeling of this song really good IMHO:

Woah @stoiximan! Great singing man! enjoyed this one quite a lot!

The only suggestion I would make is to cut the guitar level a wee bit so that the vocals are more upfront and clearer.

    Great work! :like:

That version is so awesome. Best HIM song along with The Reaper perhaps.

Nice! The original one is one of my favorite songs. Parra for Cuva made a nice remake of it too with Anna Naklab singing it. Interesting fact about Wicked Game is that it became a Top Ten hit a year and a half after first being released in Isaak's third album, and later as a single. It had been shelved with only a handful of college radio stations playing it, but was brought back to life by a major station radio DJ from ATL. Now, it is a pop classic. https://www.dazeddigital.com/music/article/35775/1/chris-isaak-wicked-game-legacy

Love your voice stoiximan. Either I'm too stoned or that reverb is a little too high, pull that back little bit and it'll be perfect.
    Love to your talent brother.

You also need talent. I know because that didn't work for me
Wow. Really interesting and surprising stuff bro.
This another one by C.Isaak ("Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing") is also amazing. Do I hear palm-mutes???? Genius :shalom: :metal:

I don't want to get off topic here talking about Isaak but it should be noted that the problem with Isaak's record was the reorganization of the label he had been assigned to by Warner Bros. The label, Reprise, had been founded by Sinatra, who in 1976 forced Warner Bros to move every act from Reprise to Warner Bros. Indeed, the only artist that told Sinatra and WB to fuck off was Neil Young. Even to this day, WB refuses to admit it. Sinatra's tantrics resulted in Reprise not having any type of pop, R&B, market infiltration, and identity for 10 years until 87 when WB decided to revive Reprise. Unfortunately for Isaak who had signed with WB 3 years earlier, he gets resigned by WB, and moved to Reprise, and the album containing Wicked Game is not even released for almost a year. The A & R wanted to wait until the next Summer to release it. The truth is that Isaak's records were not selling. Therefore, Isaak was not a priority for Reprise nor the VP who was too busy promoting Fleetwood Mac. In sum, you can have all the talent in the world but if the luck factor is absent, you are not making it big in the music business.
