But wait! If you listen to 1 preset, every second, 24 hours a day, it will take you over 136 years to complete this task. It’s clear you will need backup, and you have it, your fellow Autogun users. Every Autogun is set to start from a unique preset number, so that each member of the team is assigned a personal starting address, ready to explore. However, you can at any time, jump to a new location in the preset-space by simply entering a preset number.

Once a prized sound is discovered, and it’s preset number logged, share them with other Autogun users or import them into Ogun, for detailed study or further development.

With so many presets Autogun needs no programming, every sound is already somewhere 'out there' you just need to locate it, and you will, Autogun's sonic landscape is a sonic adventure.

Hmm..Call me stupid, but this VSTi really seem to have a lot presets..I cant say if this are really 4.294.967.296 but they are a lot! Any chance of getting a list?

 

Yeah I know the patch list is literally enormous and you always have to be on the lookout when you like something just so you can locate it next time.

 

Due to my calculation they could also make 111.988.656.000.000 presets with their txt-files (that generates the sound description in each preset) (you can find the files here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\IL Autogun\Data\Random pad\) So why do they only give us 4.294.967.296) SCANDAL!

If you have the Ogun, you can actually find all the presets from Autogun there, too, and edit them to your taste. However, Autogun is a great idea and a great synth with Ogun's engine. I love those sounds, although they sound pretty similar. I find Ogun indispensable for dark textures, weird plucky sounds... great synth.

 

Its like saying "imagine the amazing stories you can create by flicking through a dictionary!"
