How long have you had the SSD and has it seen a lot of drive write activity?

In any event, if this happened to me i'd move ALL data off the drive, do a full format on it and then run the disk analysis software again. If the reformat fixes the warnings i'd then return all the files back onto the drive... but if it still gives warnings after reformatting, then i'd immediately start saving-up for a new sata SSD...

Looks like a lot of fragmentation after many file operations (creating new files, erasing old ones etc).
I would clone the disk to another SSD, boot from the new SSD and if everything works well, re-format the old SSD and copy all files back to the old SSD. This will create all files sequentially, eliminating the fragmentation.

BTW, what OS do you have?
What are your current SSD TRIM settings?

Do SSD Trim and everything will be fine. Perfect Disk should have that option, I presume? Otherwise it would be called Dodgy Disk. :) If it doesn't, try using the utility made by the manufacturer of your SSD. Samsung has a nice application for that, for example. Intel, too. I don't know about the others. Having trim enabled in W7 should be sufficient. There's no need to do it manually.

SSDs don't need defragmenting or re-formatting, it can only worsen its state. Just trim and be at peace. Trim just cleans the cells that are used but not used [when you delete files, they are still there], so they could be used. It's nothing to do with fragmentation. Complicating simple stuff can only make things worse.

Also, it is useful to turn off "Superfetch" and "ReadyBoost" [if you have it] services when using SSD as a system drive. You don't need that shit with SSDs as they wore it out more quickly, and it also uses a nice chunk of memory for nothing, as SSDs are plenty faster and the speed is not dependant on where the file is and in how many chunks.

It's a good idea not to fill up the SSD more than about 75%, too. Always leave some "wiggling" room for the SSD controller to have some free space to work with.

    Cheers!

edit: I forgot something. Check if W7 trim is enabled because it is possible that you don't: https://www.howtogeek.com/257196/ho...nabled-for-your-ssd-and-enable-it-if-it-isnt/

BTW, if you want to increase SSD lifetime, there are two Windows settings that you might consider (please google for details):
    1. Disable NTFS "Last file access" timestamps: This causes lots of additional SSD writes and it's usually unnecessary.
    2. Disable file indexing: Searching for files using Windows' native file index database won't be as fast anymore but who cares?

I don't like any "optimizing tools" running in the background. I have never seen a utility that has really added a significant benefit, who knows, maybe it's exactly that tool that has led to fragmentation due to lots of "optimization"? :winker:

Virtual memory harms SSD. If you have only 4GB of RAM I assume your Windows has virtual memory turned on and thats not healthy.
And if you think the drive is failing, try to use the warranty if it still has.

And too much activity on audiosex can also harm your hardware. :bleh:

    turn on ssd trim:mad:

How to Enable TRIM Support for Windows 7 and 8
First let's check if the TRIM command is already active in Windows:

    1. Open a Command Prompt window (run as administrator)
Click on Start button → Click All Programs → Accessories → Command Prompt

    2. Type the following at command prompt and press enter:

    Code:
    fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
    [IMG]
    There are two possible outcomes:

    • DisableDeleteNotify = 0 : TRIM is already enabled and working in Windows
    • DisableDeleteNotify = 1 : TRIM is not enabled → Proceed to step 3 to enable it
    3. To enable SSD TRIM support in Windows, type the following at command prompt and press enter:

    Code:
    fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0

Since Windows 7 (with regular updates) Windows uses the optimized settings for SSDs automatically. There is not really a need for tweaking something in the registry or using tools obviously made for HDDs.
