i guys ive just reat the topic and i hate windows 7 i much prefered xp only beacaus when you search for something its totally difrent. and cant seem to find anything. and ive had ive head windows 7 for bout year now. just probably getting used of

 

I have used an online checker for years as it's safer, some virus' trick your checker. It just installs a little Active x module and away you go.


I think I will have no choice but to go Windows 7 soon. Many of my fav programs are turning into windows 7 and up only. Also as I stated before I am starting to need the extra ram.

 

I'd take Windows 8 over WinXP any day as its so dated. Also take Win 8 over Vista for obvious reasons. The only issue with Win 8 is that Win 7 didn't need fixing but Win8 does have slightly more refined Desktop and better file management. It also does multiple screen management better. The issue I have is that there is little benefit to starting an application from the metro desktop and the windows management all gets a bit too messy.

 

Win 8 isn't a failure because the software sucks. Win8 Runs better than Win7 on many things. The problem is people are afraid of change and most people I know won't use win 8 because of the "start menu" or "ugh i gotta learn a new system", like they learned anything about 7 or XP to start with.

SO far there are only a few things that Win8 fails at, and most of them can be worked around in the exact same way win7 gave work arounds.

Personally I only use Win7 for my family so they don't screw with my Win8 x64 one of my studios is on.

As for games, I'd say it's one of the only downsides of Win8. Some game's work like crap on it, some wont run at all. However, from what I can tell is 99% of these issues comes from the programming of the game., not an actual Win8 problem.
